My adult son and I had to travel up to Rhinelander on the weekend for a funeral. There was also a sports convention going on , so all the hotels were pretty pricey including Cobblestone. Once I got over the price shock, we enjoyed the hotel very much. It was new, so clean, and beds were very comfortable. We had a room that had 2 queen beds, plus another area with a sectional sofa and another tv. I think any group with small children would have loved that room and the tv channels catered to kids! We didn't understand how the tv remote worked, so when I called the front desk a very pleasant young woman came up and showed us how it worked. Although that was wonderful, I think printed instructions by the tv would have worked and saved them some time! The breakfast was good....powdered scrambled eggs, but lots of other voices to go with it. There was a family restaurant right next door, but was only open for breakfast and lunch. I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful new hotel right on the Wisconsin River. Nice clean hotel and rooms. Full bar inside the hotel was nice, friendly bartender. Rooms are well appointed and hotel is very nice.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit limited on Saturday at 8:00 am. Friendly staff. Parking was safe and plenty of stalls.

Very clean and comfortable. I only slight negative is that the blackout curtains aren’t actually blackout. They seem a little bit too small and tons of light came in, but we made it work for our sleeping kiddos. We stayed in the king suite with a kitchenette, which was really convenient!

This is a new hotel, opening just 6 months ago. The room was larger than most hotels. The beds were comfortable with choice of soft or firmer pillows which was appreciated. The temperature of the room was easy to control. Breakfast was good with large eating area.

We were passing through and after reading through the reviews, chose to stay at the Cobblestone. This is not a brand that I had heard of before and we did not have any experience staying at a Cobblestone. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a very friendly person at the front desk (I believe her name was Stephanie). Quick check-in, easy and convenient...had all of the information we needed and then we headed to the room. All in all, very pleased. Super clean, no dust or a single stray hair anywhere. Plenty of pillows to choose from - both soft and firmer. Beds were good...not quite as firm as we like, but they worked just fine. Only concern was that in the bathroom, despite the shower rod being curved, the curtain still came in on you (there seemed to be a stray breeze periodically). The next morning, the breakfast was fine. Plenty of choices - waffles, eggs, potatoes with sausage, cereal, oatmeal packets, pastries and such, juice, milk, coffee, etc. The one challenge was for our vegetarian - the eggs had ham in them and the potatoes had sausage, so there was nothing in the hot area for them to eat other than make their own waffles. The gentleman working breakfast was great...friendly and helpful. For us, the facility was good, the cleanliness was great, the location was convenient, quiet and safe and the staff definitely were awesome!

Tried out this brand new hotel for one night. At check-in, Peggy was patiently training Stephanie, and they were both so lovely and welcoming. They were very friendly and competent- a great start to the visit. Because it's new, every area was spotless- the room felt so fresh, which was fun. The room was really spacious, and I liked that the refrigerator was larger than the little refrigerators you normally get in hotel rooms. There was tea and a coffee maker in the room as well, which was great- there was coffee in the lobby at all hours, too. I had read that the sheets are a bit scratchy, and they are. Don't know if they will soften up with time; I hope so as that would be my only negative comment. There was a choice of pillows with a little guide to let you know which were which. I thought that was helpful and kind of cute. I peeked in on the complimentary breakfast the next morning, but I didn't have any due to time constraints. It looked like a typical breakfast- nothing special. There is a good breakfast restaurant right next door, so you could always do that instead. Overall, I think this place is a welcome addition to the area, and I will recommend it to my friends and family when they come to town.
