We stayed for 10 nights, in late May/early June as a family of 4 (two adults, 7 and 5 year old) in a Suite. We booked with Jet2. We stayed in another Valamar hotel last year, so was hoping the family offering would be similar, which it was. First of all, it's an excellent family hotel. I'd say it's mostly geared towards families with younger children (less than age 10), with many families even younger than ours, with babies and toddlers in pushchairs. The grounds are spacious and easy to navigate. It felt a bit like Center Parcs in the sun. The staff and facilities are excellent. We enjoyed the pool, it was heated but it felt quite cold at first during our first half of the holiday but it did warm up as we got into June. Both of my children cut their feet in the pool twice, so after that they wore beach shoes in the pool. The slides are fantastic. There are two smaller ones in the main pool, which both of my children accessed independently. (Also baby slides in the baby pool for even younger children). And then 3 more 'big slides' separate from the pool. I especially enjoyed the yellow one with the rings. There wasn't a life guard manning these until June. Fine for us but it was worth noting a lot of the older children did use the slides a little recklessly before they were manned. Both of my children enjoyed these 'big slides' too, including my 5 year old. They're big enough for the whole family to enjoy but not terrifying. I can't imagine a younger child using them though. Both of my children loved the kids club (Maro Club), both saying it was their favourite thing about the holiday. There was lots of nationalities but it was mostly British and Scandinavian children during our stay (May half term holidays), around similar ages. It's so flexible, you don't need to book, just turn up and drop them off whenever suits you. There is a different activity every 2 hours. My children stayed for an average of 2 hours per day but sometimes a bit longer as quite a few times I'd go to collect them and they didn't want to leave and asked to stay a little longer. I chose for them to not be able to leave on their own, and if they did want to leave, the staff would phone me and I'd collect them. Our last Valamar hotel had entertainment most evenings, but here it was just on a Tuesday night. That could be down to us staying earlier in the season this time. There is a water taxi within a 5 minute walk of the hotel, which takes you into Stari Grad. It's 2 euros per adult each way. The town is pretty but not huge. We paid a little extra to book a suite for the extra space and privacy. Our suite was beautiful, quiet and surrounded by trees and the sounds of the birds. It was bliss. The room was clean and spacious, stylish, excellent shower and small touches like toy bricks. Pool towels are provided. There is a microwave, coffee machine, safe (free to use), and fridge. There were 2 bottles of beers, water and some soft drinks in our fridge on arrival (comp
