Room #904. Parking was provided (limited availability, but no problem if you check in early). Une belle chambre, mais un groupe de jeunes qui partaient sous nous ce soir et cette nuit, mais je suis reconnaissant que vous ne pouvez pas vous aider pendant que les 8 mai sont en course sur la rivière (Bumps). Nous avons eu des amis qui nous accompagnaient pour dîner au restaurant et au bar des gardiens et nous avons été pressés à plusieurs reprises par la gardienne pour obtenir notre commande avant 8 h 40 ”car 9 h est quand le chef rentre chez lui”. Mais la nourriture était acceptable et raisonnablement coûteuse à 120 £ pour 4 y compris les boissons. Je ne peux pas penser à d'autres pays européens où cela se produirait... Nous avons demandé si nous pouvions quitter notre voiture sur place quelques heures après avoir vérifié le matin suivant et nous avons été hébergés avec grace, ce qui était très gentil.

La chambre est propre et bien rangée La chambre twin est mini et confortable La chambre du dernier étage est un peu plus chaude en juillet Il n'y a pas de climatiseur mais un ventilateur. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux, et le cadre environnant est très beau.

L'hôtel est bien situé, à quatre arrêts de bus du séminaire, à environ 20 minutes à pied. La chambre est également assez grande. Le lit dans ce type de chambre est immense, on a l'impression qu'il mesure 2 mètres de haut. Une famille de quatre personnes s'est enregistrée. Il y avait deux canapés-lits dans la description de la chambre, mais je ne les ai pas vus. Les photos montraient à l'étage et au rez-de-chaussée, mais l'espace était assez grand. petits lits. Le chauffage est bon, la température ambiante est confortable et il y a une ferme devant la fenêtre, ce qui donne une impression très pastorale. Le petit déjeuner était moyen. Le seul problème, c'est que la réception était puante et qu'il n'y avait personne pour porter mes bagages. Plus tard, sur le chemin de la chambre, j'ai rencontré un membre du personnel qui a vu que j'avais du mal à traîner ma valise et à porter quatre sacs. , alors il a pris l'initiative de m'envoyer dans la salle Merci beaucoup ! L'hygiène de l'hôtel est bonne, la baignoire et la bouilloire sont propres, et les matelas sont également très propres. Globalement très satisfait.

Tout d'abord à propos de l'emplacement, c'est vraiment loin du centre-ville d'Oxford. Vous devez prendre le bus (2,30 £ par adulte). Cependant, juste autour de l'hôtel, vous trouverez Sainsbury, Tesco Express et M&S pour faire du shopping. Il y a même de nombreux restaurants, y compris des restaurants chinois. Les services étaient excellents, gentils et polis. La propreté de leur chambre était superbe. Absolument impeccable. Quant à leurs commodités, c'est là que je ne suis pas satisfait. Commençons par leur salle de bain, ils fournissent un lavage tout-en-un qui peut être utilisé comme nettoyant pour le corps et shampoing. La bouteille est solidement fixée au mur. Pas de pain de savon, pas de dentifrice ni de brosse à dents. Dans la chambre, il n'y a pas de bouilloire, pas de thé/café, pas de verre/tasses, aucun. Si vous souhaitez utiliser un sèche-cheveux ou un fer à repasser, vous pouvez en faire la demande à la réception. Il faut en faire la demande à la réception car il n'y a pas de téléphone dans la chambre pour appeler la réception.

First up: do not, under any circumstances, book a room here. Booked a Saturday and Sunday for a friend’s thirtieth. Checked in and unpacked, then another couple showed up for the same room. Turns out the hotel had cancelled our room without telling us (but, notably, AFTER charging us) and then required us to leave our event, come back, pack up all our stuff, and move out, (or “we will take your things and throw them out on the street”).
The manager on the phone was unable to explain what had happened, couldn’t access the back-end system, and eventually decided that it was our fault that we’d mistyped an email address (an error on our end BUT we had been in text contact throughout the preceding week and they hadn’t bothered to tell us we no longer had a reservation), and then later that we hadn’t clicked “confirm” on an email we never got. Side note: I’ve worked in hotels for years; this explanation is nonsense; and even if it wasn’t - if you thought we’d cancelled, why did you still charge us for the room? I guess this is what happens when you don’t actually have any staff on the premises to sort out issues. As it was, after booking and paying for a room months ago, we were left stranded in the middle of Oxford with nowhere to stay. No apology from the hotel and it took two weeks of both of us dealing with increasingly hostile management before getting our room refunded. Minus a tenner they kept for themselves to pay for “the diary management’s company’s admin fee” - again, I worked in the industry, we all know that this is nonsense, Eviivo OBVIOUSLY don’t charge admin fees per email, but I guess they fancied helping themselves to an extra £10 for all their hard work in not hosting us. Just really small-time behaviour all round. It’s a shame because the room itself looked nice but I would recommend that you only book this place if you’re fine with not actually being allowed to stay in it.

Abita loin de la ville. Bien si vous avez une voiture. Rien de loin à faire. Mais un hôtel propre et nouveau. Petit déjeuner était bon aussi. Amoureux des installations de la salle de bains

La chambre est bonne, la chambre est très grande, les installations sont complètes, c'est que le bord de la route est un peu épais, rien n'est à proximité de la nuit, il n'y a pas de problème majeur de dormir. Le petit-déjeuner est riche, mais la chambre que nous avons payée porte un petit-déjeuner, l'autre est un peu coûteux pour 15 lits. Le service est OK, il y a un peu de route du centre de Oxford. Beaucoup de gens sont venus ici pour dîner la nuit.

Looking at previous reviews of this hotel, I can only think that our experience here was an unusual one but we were quite disappointed with our stay. Our room (3) was tiny (in hindsight we should have booked a more expensive one), and was uncomfortably small for two people with nowhere to put bags down or hang up clothes apart from a few hangers on coat hooks. The lighting was poor and it had a very rattly industrial fire door into the bathroom, which seemed amusing at first, but wasn’t quite so funny in the middle of the night when it clanged shut if you let it go! In fairness, other rooms on the websight looked gorgeous, I wish we’d booked one of those! Not the hotel’s fault, we just expected our room to be better for the price. Also disappointing was that the food on both nights was below average with limited menu choice and lots of dishes being unavailable.. This was a shame because it was my birthday ‘treat’ but fell far short of what we expected from a so called ‘luxury’ hotel. I can only think they were having a couple of off days and we were just unlucky. On a positive note, it’s a very eclectic place, decor is rustic, bordering on scruffy but still interesting, the staff are very friendly and the bar and restaurant have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but when we were there the poor staff were run off their feet which resulted in patchy service and difficulty reserving a table, However, despite the problems the staff were very nice people especially the bar manager who tried her best to make up for the various menu shortfalls and discounted our drinks and food bill as an apology, which we very much aporeciated, but sadly I still don’t look back on our stay and feel that it was all that great, not really as special as we hoped it would be given all the hype. Based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend it or go again.

C'est la 2e fois que nous avons séjourné dans ce voyage. Le bruit de l'air ne s'arrête pas et nous réalimentons la 1ère fois quand nous étions là. Mais je ne pense pas qu'ils puissent faire quoi que ce soit ... si vous êtes léger sommeil. Restez loin 😀😪
