Church Farm Haven Holiday Park

A large family get together for my granddaughter’s second birthday. We had three vans in a lovely location on the park. Great walks along the beach and an ice cream at Pagham was a lovely Sunday morning activity. My only slight criticism was the lack of baby changing facilities in the swimming changing rooms. And I’m sorry but I’ve got to mention the aggressive appearance of the security staff looking like night club bouncers, checking children’s passes at 6pm! I can see the necessity of security presence but come on, stab vests, hi viz and earpieces? I can remember when Bradly Bear used to welcome you in!

Good time had by all, very relaxing place to be. The next 50 or so characters i write is because trip adviser asked me to lengthen my review. So I did 😃👍

Stayed here while visiting relatives,caravan was clean the site likewise,didn’t visit the pool or entertainment complex as we prefer the pubs and restaurants outside

Friday to Monday with family. Caravan was clean & all we’d expect. Nicely maintained & good 1st impression. Unfortunately shower did not work, intermittent hot & cold, so we used ones at pool. The pool & flume were enjoyed. Outdoor not heated, so beware!! The site is very large, with rows upon rows of caravans. Site generally looked tired. Small areas of planting, but really just roads & vans. Went to entertainment complex, but didn’t stay. Have to walk through large amusement arcade area, which was very noisy. Eatery, no atmosphere & more cafe like. Headed for entertainment area, but didn’t stay. If you like working men’s clubs, you’d love it, & it was crowded, so many did. Had Sunday lunch at nice local pub off site. Came home day early. Last month went to a small family friendly park,not Haven, which was much more suited to us.

Have just returned from a half-term week holiday here and unfortunately not a great holiday at all and even left a day early. Usually go to another Haven site in Norfolk and have done so for many, many years now but this year thought a change might be nice so opted for Church Farm despite the much longer journey than HOPTON where we had always gone before. From the minute we arrived, it was apparent how run down the park was and nothing like our usual Haven holiday away. To be perfectly fair our Silver caravan on Bishops Way was very nice. Other than the odd ant or two, it was clean, very modern and perfectly adequate for our family week away. There was an issue with a stained under-sheet that had been left on the pull out sofa bed but this was replaced the next day when we reported it to reception. The issue with our holiday was the park itself-no real holiday atmosphere anywhere on the park like we are used to at HOPTON and a real lack of any kind of ‘buzz’ like you’d think it would be on half term school holidays?!?! Outside pool was closed all week up until the Friday despite Haven website claiming that all outside pools would be open from the previous Saturday. Golf course is just appalling and unplayable because it hasn’t been looked after and lagoon is very underwhelming indeed. Arcade area for the children is cash-less which is awful and takes away everything an arcade should be so this was avoided. Clubhouse is very small indeed with no atmosphere and was more like an old working man’s club than an entertainment venue. While park was just run down and tired wherever we went and what made it worse was that there’s very little to do around park area either. Sorry Church Farm but won’t be returning unfortunately and would respectively suggest on making the park a more jolly and enjoyable place to be

Upon arrival 4pm thr van had grease on top of the fan in kitchen, see photo i have written my nsme in it. The wine glasses are covered in grease, as is the frying pan, the seats have rubbish under them and even a Halloween label from a toy!! A bench has been put on a table with cob webs on it touching the table. The fridge has rubbish from cereal and magnets under the door when we opened it.
