This hotel is amazing. It is located right on the lake and our balcony looked out over the most tranquil scenery. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. Loved the pool and relaxing atmosphere. Drinks weren’t expensive and you could buy lunch at the seating area next to the pool. The rooms were so clean and there was a fridge to keep drinks and snacks cool, we even kept ice in there for our evening drinks on the balcony. Would recommend 100%

This is a fabulous little hotel an absolute gem the gardens are beautiful and a wonderful location right on lake Garda with ferry ⛴️ just outside to other places. The staff were lovely especially the manager who was very friendly and the young lady behind the main bar was polite with a lovely smile

We stayed in the hotel and had room 312. The room had a beautiful view, the beds were what you expect abroad. I had read about there being no tea/coffee in the room so took a travel kettle. Most hotels have limited plugs for an extension cable is a must. The hotel was clean, yes paint needs replacing in some areas but does that impact your holiday? Not really. The guys in the front desk always made sure they said hello and helped with anything we needed. The food was ok we ate out a few nights and there are a couple of lovely local places to eat. They do remove the plates quickly but they did that in restaurants so I presume it’s a cultural thing, and yes the talk is limited but they weren’t rude in any way. Conad supermarket is about a 5 mins walk and stocks everything you could need, you also walk past a pharmacy should you need one. Make sure you get the ferry timetable and if you have a rep meeting go to it, we were stressing over how to get around the lake but our rep cleared all that up and advised us the best way to travel. I would go back to the hotel again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay & I agree with the room issues,food,lack of atmosphere in the dining room, pathetic take away breakfast on the morning we departed etc etc. However, we had an enjoyable time,was out & about each morning after a canny breakfast. Once my saucer was taken while I had the cup in my hands & was still drinking. But probably a week would have been too long as the evening meal was a struggle. The view from the room was fabulous,but on a weekend it was very noisy could have been mistaken for being at Silverstone. That was because the air con wasn't available, so had to have the windows open.

We went for a four night stay, which was very pleasant. Even though we had a superior room, it was very basic with no amenities apart from an empty fridge and a free safe.. However, from the balcony, there were beautiful views across the lake. The food was very limited with not a lot of variety, however we were able to put a meal together each evening. The food, however, was nice enough, but I think it would have become very boring on a longer stay. The restaurant was very basic. However, we sat at the outside eating area for our meals and found that quite pleasant. The bar area is quite small, with very limited seating. But the terraced area overlooking the pool is very pleasant to sit at. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful with a shout-out for Garvino and the young lady behind the bar, but we didn't get her name. The town was a little disappointing as it was very small with just a few bars and restaurants.. You have to travel to other towns for a better experience of local restaurants, bars, and shops. We used the Rome2Rio app, as mentioned in a previous review. We found it to be very helpful for getting around as the ferry timetable, especially, can be quite confusing.

One of the friendliest and relaxed hotels , we have stayed in, staff and fellow guests. Fantastic views , room comfortable and food very good. Location excellent for ferry to visit other towns , which we did on a daily basis. We have booked to go back next year.

After reading some of the reviews we were a bit hesitant on our upcoming trip but was really surprised. Firstly we got a great deal for a week via TUI probably due to end of season so for the price we paid it was worth it. We didn’t have a lake view room so the negative was we had a twin room with no balcony or view. Definitely book a lakeside view Air con didn’t seem to work so the room did get hot luckily weather was a lot cooler. Shower very powerful. Aside from that the hotel is a great location. There is a bus stop outside that takes you to Riva, 2 ferry ports which go to Tori, limone and Riva so you can travel around. Hotel is authentic Italian so not high end luxury, but lovely, very welcoming and helpful staff. Pool area is lovely and there is also a bar, drinks are more expensive than local bars but that’s the same for most hotels. Beds surprisingly comfy, evening food wasn’t amazing but ok, breakfast a lot better. All in all for the price we were very happy. Maderno is pretty quiet and not much going on in the evening but if you want a base to travel around it’s ideal. Get the car ferry (can go as a passenger) to Tori for a nice meal by the lake & wander around the shops. It leaves every 30 mins. Would also recommend Kokki sushi restaurant in Toscolano.

Whilst this hotel is well located within Maderno (lovely views and literally next door to the ferry port) it left a lot to be desired. The buffet food was sub-standard with some side dishes repeated - we had seen some poor reviews ahead of our trip but tried the evening meal on our first night - food wasn't great plus the large dining area (with some outdoor tables too) had zero atmosphere, which is the same for the bar area too; incidentally drinks are cheaper in the nearby bars, which I guess is typical of hotels everywhere, so not a criticism. The hotel room itself was clean and serviced daily, however the bed and the pillows in our room were very hard and uncomfortable for us, plus our room had a terrible view and was above the kitchen, so plenty of early morning and late evening noise. Outside the pool itself was clean, however the sun loungers have seen better days and most of the towels you would only use to cut up to use as rags. To finish on a positive all of the staff were very efficient and pleasant.

After reading the reviews we were very surprised to find a lovely traditional Italian hotel with the most amazing views. The hotel was in a prim position to catch the ferry and there was a bus stop close by. A nice selection of restaurants are also within walking distance. Hotel restaurant: There wasn’t a large selection but the choices were always very nice and the staff were always very friendly and obliging. Rooms: We had a room on the top floor facing the lake with a balcony and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was firm and comfortable as we like it and the bathroom was spacious with a nice shower with clean towels everyday. My only criticism is that it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room but I think this is the same in most Italian hotels. Over all we had a lovely time at the Milano and would definitely recommend it.
