We had a lovely time at Parga Beach Resort – the setting is idyllic, the beach is gorgeous, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff are wonderful and it is a truly incredible place! Would highly recommended it. But it’s incredibly frustrating that the same basic issues keep coming up in reviews and are still not being addressed. For a hotel presenting itself as 5-star, these oversights are not acceptable. 1. Storage in the rooms is completely inadequate. There is nowhere near enough drawer or shelf space, or hooks. We spent the week living out of suitcases – not ideal, especially with kids. This is one of the most common complaints across reviews, and it would be such a cheap and easy fix. Why hasn’t this been resolved? 2. The breakfast coffee situation is simply not good enough. Guests are queuing for up to half an hour just to get a basic cup of coffee from a self-service machine. At a 5-star hotel, this is embarrassing. There is no barista-style service and no proper fresh coffee unless you pay extra elsewhere. This is not a luxury experience – it’s more like a motorway service station. Please fix this. Coffee is a small but meaningful part of the breakfast experience, and again, this is an easy and inexpensive change that would dramatically improve guest satisfaction. 3. Sunbeds on the beach have no cushions. Again, countless reviewers have raised this. Adding cushions is such a minimal investment – it’s baffling that this hasn’t been done already. It really detracts from the enjoyment of the beautiful beach. This resort has so much potential, but until management starts listening to consistent guest feedback and addressing these very fixable issues, it will fall short of the 5-star standard it claims to offer. We had a great holiday, it is a wonderful place and I don’t want to take away from the. But these details matter – and they’re letting the experience down.
