Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

Just magnificent. My partners first time in Paris. She wanted anything experience and thus stunning wee hotel gave it in spades. Very helpful owner and staff. Wonderful room with a small balcony on the second floor. Perfect for people watching (we were very lucky) The breakfast was fantastic and the service was brilliant at all times. Nothing was ever a problem. And Bobby the wee Scottish Terrier was a dude! A brilliant stay for both of us.

I’m completely in love with this hotel, its owner, location, staff, bedrooms, and ancient Scotty dog mascot, Bobby!! It has been the perfect base for my Paris adventure (a 4-day boulangerie course at Le Cordon Bleu). Had my room been available, I would gladly have stayed here my entire time in Paris, thanks to the beautiful historic decor (incl. fresh flowers), great corner view over Rue de Rivoli (incl. the Paris semi-marathon), deep bath and lots of hot water, reliable and easy wifi, comfy bed and fluffy pillows, daily room cleaning, and attentive, friendly and kind staff. After 8 nights here, I have begun to feel like part of the family and am loathe to leave. Will definitely book here (early to get my same room) for any future Paris trips. Love, love, love it!

You know that perfect little hotel you're looking for in Paris? Charming, small, great location, warm staff, decent rate? This is it. My highest praise goes to the staff. They were patient in handling our 6-person group's issue with rooms - we ended up adding a fourth room because we wanted more space. We shuffled rooms for a couple hours on the day we arrived, and they were patient and gracious. Then when one of our group fell ill and needed a doctor - eventually an ER visit - the staff was again indispensable. They were also wonderful helping find a restaurant for a birthday dinner and a place to buy a cheap suitcase, and calling taxis. I miss them, actually! They were by far a highlight of the trip! Thank you, Etienne and Genevieve! You set a high standard for hospitality. My family had four rooms, so we saw all the room categories. A couple were tight for two people and luggage, but I loved room 60. Room 31 had two twin beds and a bigger bathroom. Some rooms have a tub/shower combo and others just have a stand-up shower, and they are tight. Overall, rooms are on the smaller size, but they make up for it in quality and style. The beds are extremely comfortable. Loved the location in the Marias. We hit the jazz club around the corner for a jam session, took the staff recommendations for the best restaurants in the vicinity, and filled up on Parisian charm and shopping in the surrounding streets. We went to Au Bourguignon twice for the beef bourguignon. Les Philosophes was also a gem of a bistro, a Genevieve recommendation. It's one block off Rivoli and close to the Seine for an evening stroll. Fantastic location. This was our second visit, and I look forward to coming back.

I have been wanting to stay at the Caron de Beaumarchais for years and finally had the chance two weeks ago. The hotel is perfectly situated just off the rue de Rivoli but was still very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the staff were all warm and professional. I recommend picking one of the street facing rooms so you can see Paris from your window. There are great restaurants along the rue Vielle du Temple and along the charming streets of the neighborhood. The hotel is also easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay. Highly recommended!!
