IInvitéA truly exceptional stay on Jiuhuashan
I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

AAL94This is a nice place to put up for a night or 2 or even longer. The location is ok but the flight of stairs up to the reception and the room is not too fun if you have big and heavy luggage. Apart from this everything is lovely. Room is clean and the beds are comfortable. I love that the room is very bright. The toilet is fully automated. Shower water pressure is good too.
We had noodles for lunch there and they are yum!
Breakfast is simple but delicious. I think you can ask for seconds (we did not as we were rushing to go out).
There is a convenience store just right opposite and along the way, plenty of eateries.
Call them and they will pick you up from Julong hotel and drop you off there too when you check out.
I don’t mind staying here again but only if I have a small bag.

IInvitéÀ notre arrivée dans la région pittoresque, un homme sympathique nous a accueillis et nous a aidés à porter nos bagages. Dès notre arrivée chez Xiao Zhang, nous nous sommes sentis parfaitement à l'aise. Le propriétaire, un natif du coin, était incroyablement accueillant et serviable, nous expliquant notre itinéraire avec plus de professionnalisme qu'un guide touristique. Arrivés vers midi, trop paresseux pour partir, nous avons simplement commandé un en-cas rapide. La nourriture était étonnamment abordable et incroyablement délicieuse. C'était une cuisine paysanne authentique, un goût que j'avais du mal à trouver ailleurs. Après le dîner, nous nous sommes assis un moment dans la salle de méditation, allumant des bâtons d'encens pendant que mon ami recopiait des textes bouddhistes et que je buvais du thé. Après si longtemps confiné, j'ai enfin ressenti la joie du retour à la nature, la joie de Tao Yuanming. L'hôtel est idéalement situé au cœur de la région pittoresque, ce qui facilite les déplacements. Le souci du détail du propriétaire transparaissait dans chaque détail. J'ai passé un agréable séjour et j'ai hâte de vous revoir.

KKuang KuangWe stayed for two nights. On the first day, we visited Jiuhua Mountain Dayuan Culture Park, located at the foot of Mt. Jiuhua, before checking in to our hotel at the Jiuhua Street Scenic Area. The following day, we visited the key temples and explored Jiuhua Street. On the third day, we visited the Heavenly Terrace Scenic Area, specifically Tiantai Temple. We were grateful to the hotel for upgrading our room to enhance accessibility for elderly guests, as well as their helpful advice on executing our plan. Also for arranging private transportation and providing pick-up/drop-off services. The only disappointment was the lack of variety at the breakfast buffet.

Le propriétaire du magasin et la femme sont très enthousiastes et enthousiastes, je vois notre famille de trois personnes, je suis venu très tôt pour nous aider à régler la chambre, la chambre est très nouvelle, la décoration est très utile, la nuit est très calme, et je vous souhaite une entreprise de plus en plus bonne! Et le bord est le bâtiment de la pâte rouge, la bague de pêche est la plus aimée, il a passé la nuit à manger les deux, il est recommandé!

The place is ideally situated near the tourist center when all buses departed for mt jiuhua and back to Chizhou or to the new jiuhua speed train station. So many I mean huge selection of restaurants,supermarkets around. Amenities are plentiful in the niicely decorated room mixing wood and glassware but surprisingly there is no breakfast available. Also the sound isolation is not top and I can hear my neighbours in early morning,not help by the gap at the bottom at the door entrance,
It could be easily a perfect 10 but nothing is ! Totally recommend the place.. from the tourist center, walk 10 min to the new commercial with a huge stone flower as an indicator, walk inside and 1st right in a small ally..the hotel in at your right 100m further

YykchowThe location of this so ideal for me. It was very peaceful and the room was facing the DiZhang Bodhisattva. I could do my prayer, meditation and connect with DiZhang Bodhisattva daily.
The recption is friendly and helpful. The furnishing and the resort hotel facilities were old. The sound proof of the room was poor as you could hear some guests were talking and shouting. But luckily it was a low season. Local Chinese will flood these areas duing the Labor day (01-03 May) and their National day (01-07 Oct). Please avoid visiting duing these periods.
High speed rail - Jiuhuashan station just completed. Use this station to access Jiuhuashan. Less than 30min to reach Jiuhua Mountain Dayuan Culture Park (九华山大愿文化园). Highly recommend to stay around the 九华山风景区柯村新区.

IInvitéC'était la première fois que je visitais Jiuhuashan. J'ai recherché des hôtels célèbres sur Ctrip, puis j'ai lu Xiaohongshu et je les ai recommandés 👍🏻Le patron était très enthousiaste et m'a ajouté sur WeChat avant de venir. Il m'a patiemment expliqué comment prendre le haut. gare de train rapide jusqu'à Jiuhuashan, y compris la deuxième fois après notre arrivée de nuit. L'itinéraire du culte bouddhiste à Tianjin est également très pratique, sinon nous aurions fait des détours Inutile de dire que le cadre de vie est génial. est également très bon et c'est pratique d'aller partout. La raison principale est que je suis allé manger dans la rue Jiuhua quand je suis arrivé ici pour la première fois, je mangerai chez Mingsu la prochaine fois que je viendrai. super et ce sera d'une grande aide pour rester dans le Bouddha. Les amis qui voyagent peuvent l'envisager.
