We stayed at Magpie Pachhu Village Resort from May 3rd to May 5th, 2025, and had booked a magpie suite room, expecting a peaceful and memorable honeymoon. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. From the moment we checked in, we could clearly hear conversations and noises from the adjacent room. Despite raising the issue with the reception multiple times, no effective action was taken. On the second day, they shifted us to another room – but to our dismay, it was right next to the previous one, and the same issue persisted. We could even hear the snoring from the next room, which made our stay extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Despite calling reception nearly 100 times and repeatedly requesting to speak to the manager, no one addressed our concerns. We felt ignored and frustrated throughout. For a resort charging close to ₹20,000 for a two-night stay, this level of service is simply unacceptable. Adding to our disappointment, the food served was also below average and did not meet the standards expected from a resort of this category. Overall, what was supposed to be a special honeymoon trip turned into a stressful and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this resort to couples or anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay in Pelling.

I stayed at Magpie Pachu in May 2025 and it is one of the finest resort property in Pelling. The rooms are spacious and the overall property ambience is quite good. The location is a bit offbeat and away from local market, however the resort area is big enough to explore for a 1 or 2 night stay. The views from the property are amazing as you cab clearly see Kanchenjunga peaks when the sky is clear. There's a possibility that you might to get up early during the monsoon season to witness amazing views of Kanchenjunga, but October to March are the best time to be there. The service was also good and they were quick to respond everytime. As it's a hilly area and no elevators, you will have to walk a bit to reach your rooms but yet the housekeeping team were quick in their services. Lastly, the food was also good, however it also offers non-veg food so we preferred to order our dinners in our rooms and the restaurant service was also commandable.

Although we overexpected from this property but still our stay here was reasonably good because of awesome views from our cottage balcony. We were provided with a huge cottage/room with a balcony overlooking Kanchanjunga peak in the range of mountains. On a clear day we saw the magnificent and mesmerising view of the mountain range and the peak early morning and what a sight it was! Breakfast was so-so but palatable. Services were quite alright. Power outages were common but their in-house generator kept one of the room lights on. Room heater was provided complimentary.

The room provided was excellent with a clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga. The staff was very professional and fulfilled my every demand. so Yesterday itself they asked if i need some food to carry with me on my way to Bagdogra Airport as I was to check out today morning at 5 AM This is called Pro activeness and extreme professionalism of the hotel staff. I would like to visit their other resorts as well in the future

A value for money hotel cum resort, courteous staff, food pricing is reasonable with good proportion of serving, Nice views of Kanchenjunga peaks from hotel rooms, Only negative point is badly damaged road (of about 1 km) leading to hotel from main pelling city

The hotel is good and scenic staff is helpful.Unfortunately the room we were given No105 was directly above the kitchen and was noisy through out the night affecting our sleep also something went wrong with the food at dinner and few of the guests including my spouse had nausea and oose motions. So my experience was not very good.

Excellent stay. Courteous & prompt service. Food quality excellent. Had breakfast & Dinners. Room we stayed is well designed with beautiful view. View from balcony is amazing. The resort is situated little away from the hassle of the place.

Beautiful location, spacious rooms and excellent outter view. Staffs are courteous and took care good. Restaurant was good, food menu and taste was very nice. Must stay option around Pelling. They arrange small campfire on request for additional.

Super climate, beautiful lower location (away from the busy street) nice and smiling staff, good food, neat n clean rooms. Mr Sagar who manages the resort is a super polite person and always agree what customer says - top on the service level. Bipin and Oporna at the restaurant - world class service and promptness and always smiling. I took the room with the balcony at the first floor, attention needed as wrong instruction given on the table in the room, flush i nthe washroom was not working but fixed in no time once complained. not to forget Mr Dawlaendup lepcha - always ready to serve you
