Robinson's Cottages

We have stayed here twice now in Sept 2022 and Oct 2024 and we love it. We stayed in cottage 2 both times and it feels more remote than it actually is. So peaceful and quiet, however while you might feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, in reality there is plenty of civilisation nearby. Kind of a perfect balance of quiet and convenience really. The cottage is clean and well maintained. There was plenty of firewood even in early Oct when it was barely needed. I'd like to say we'll be back for a third visit, but it is a very long way from home! Here's hoping. Thanks Teresa and Bill.

Cozy and clean!! Very welcoming people, look forward to returning when I'm in the area! secluded in a wooded area, yet close to most everything you need, restaurants and stores and the scenery is absolutely beautiful!! next time I'm brining the fishing pole !!

The cabin was rustic, atmospheric with nice vistas all about. alternately, we found it a little dark and musty, but that’s the price for something of such historic character, and thus somewhat neutralized. A fall season's considerable negative is that the only source of heat was not well planned. We were cold! The firewood was inadequately seasoned including starter wood. To leave us so little paper and no starter boosts made the task too difficult and we gave up. (I’d cut 11 cords annually for many years, and am very used to firewood.) We found the wife a bit disengaging, to a point where we learned after the fact that the husband we saw twice (but never met) had helped other folks with fire starter material, etc. Another time of year or more attentive preparation would probably have worked a little better, but there is much to like despite these oddities.

Amazing times with cherished memories as this is family and we go down home yearly!!!❤️❤️❤️best times enjoying the property, river, pond and cottage. Looking forward to going in August this year for the Machias Blueberry Festival ❤️

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. This was our second time staying there. This time we were there for two nights and we didn’t want to leave. The cabin has everything you need. I love the fireplace. We will be going back!!!!!!

We camped for the weekend at the tent site and it could not have been any better. Lovely spot, plenty of space and fit our huge tent, had everything we needed. You are right between the river and the pond and may use the canoes and kayaks to explore both, which is really what made our weekend so much fun. We woke up each morning listening to a pileated woodpecker which was really cool, even got to see him flying over us. There is a fire pit with a grate you can put over top to cook on and plenty of firewood. Swimming and fishing were great, the people were nice, and everywhere you look is beautiful.
