"Sometimes the staff were very kind and helpful, and other times they were rigid and rude. There is no kitchenette or refrigerator for guests' convenience. The dormitories are very small and the beds are noisy. Of the six beds, the two in the middle have no power outlet or light. No towels or soap are provided. The bathrooms are far from the dormitories. The toilets were running, and there was always water on the floor. It was slippery! There is no air conditioning, no fan, and the lockers don't have locks. You have to bring your own padlock. On a positive note, it was clean, and the architecture of this old building is beautiful."

"Il s'agit d'un complexe de vacances dans le village de Sao Roque sur l'île de Pico. Mon chambre était OK avec une suite en suite et avec des installations de cuisine communes et une zone de manger tout le long du corridor. Il y a une piscine extérieure mais pas de réception 24-hour. Je ne recommanderais pas de rester ici sans voiture, car le transport public est pratiquement inexistent et il n'y a pas grand chose à faire dans le village lui-même."

"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."

"C'est vraiment un commentaire 3.5*. C'est une bonne option qui a le potentiel d'être grande. Les propriétaires doivent savoir ce qu'ils veulent être et planifier en conséquence. La zone est vraiment jolie. Il est hors de la route sans être trop loin. Il y a un parking facile à utiliser juste de la route. Nous avons eu une deuxième piscine de la mer. La chambre elle-même était belle. Cependant, il y avait quelques défauts. Il y avait peu de ventilation avec les portes fermées. La chambre est très confortable, et vous avez été très bien placée pour vous aider à trouver un accès à la chambre. Pico fait quelques-uns des meilleurs vins blancs du monde, et avoir un balcon avec vue sur l'océan fait du vin de secouer le plus naturel. Le petit déjeuner était bon, mais il était limité au déjeuner. Il y a quelques restaurants bien proches et un bon magasin de produits de vente à seulement cinq minutes de route."

"It was great to come “home” to our very spacious 2 bedroom cottage after a day of activities. It’s in a nice quiet area (about a 25 minute drive from Madalena). Breakfast daily is fresh bread, cheese, granola, juice and fruit (e.g., melon, kiwi, oranges), brought to the cottage by the hosts. Full kitchen. Washing machine in the unit. Must hang stuff to dry. There is a hot tub on site that I’d describe as a warm tub. Only reason not to stay here is if you want to be closer to Madalena."

"Les vues sont splendides mais l’endroit manque un peu d’amour. Aurait besoin d’un rafraîchissement et le petit déjeuner est ok, mais sans plus. Il faut absolument une voiture pour s’y rendre et visiter autour. Nous n’avons pas mangé au restaurant mais le déjeuner nous a un peu décourager d’y aller. Peu de restaurants autour. Nous ne sommes pas sentis particulièrement bienvenue à l’accueil… comme si nous dérangions. Pas idéal comme première impression. La piscine est loin des chambres et difficiles d’accès pour les gens avec des restrictions."
