Take a right at the castle and you're there. Roll in and park near the red and white rose garden. Unpack your things in a charming room with a canopy bed with fine linens, slippers, steaming hot water, mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker and terrific maps of the region. Love is in the details and I could feel the love. Room was not huge but truly charming, sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. Curl up in the hanging wicker chairs on the property to plan your days in the region or simply take it all in. You are in Tuscany and can feel it. The most difficult thing about breakfast is what to choose from the menu...one morning I selected the omelette, homemade cakes which are made by Laura's mum with the stone ground ancient grain flour produced right there (pinch me) and fresh fruit. Morning two: Ancient Grain Bread (produced right there) with tomatoes, olive oil and spices. Morning three: White yogurt, fresh fruit and one final piece of Mom's breakfast cake. The coffee: perfection. To add to the delight...Laura's daughters play, dance and sing in the courtyard on the final days of their summer vacation. A big Maine coon cat hangs in anticipation for fallen scraps. I was busy scouting the area for photography tours so didn't have a chance for lunch but I heard it's wonderful. Stop in whether you are staying there or not. HIGHLY recommend and look forward to my return.
