Manoir de Longeveau

Sorry it has taken so long to post this review! We were married at Longeveau in June 2023, with our ceremony and post ceremony drinks in Aubeterre-sur-dronne. Our wedding experience at Manoir de Longevau was nothing short of a fairytale. We had booked in October 2021 prior to seeing the venue with Beth from Marry me in France who had suggested the venue as it met all our requirements. I was a little stressed in the last few weeks about a few elements of the wedding but once I had arrived in France it was clear the venue had all in hand, they are experts at delivering large weddings! We arrived 5 days prior to the big day, staying at one the villas near the entrace of Longeveau with a small group of family. The villa was great and we loved the pool. The pastries each morning and welcome packs were good. We had a brilliant time exploring the area and getting prepared, before being joined by over 100 guests on the friday. From the moment the guests arrived on Friday to our departure on Monday, every aspect of our celebration was meticulously crafted to perfection. The staff coordinated the arrival of 100+ guests, handed out our welcome sheets and ensured there were no issues. The accommodation is perfect and I didn’t hear any complaints from any of our guests. The venue's rustic and beautiful setting provided an enchanting backdrop for our special weekend. The picturesque surroundings added a magical touch to the entire event, making it a dream come true. Longevau's charm captivated not only us but also our guests, who were fortunate enough to share in the beauty of the place. The staff at Manoir de Longevau were truly incredible. Julie, in particular, deserves special recognition for ensuring that everything ran seamlessly on the day of our wedding and generally over the wekeend. Her attention to detail and ability to handle every aspect of the event contributed significantly to our peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration. Our decision to visit Longevau a year before the wedding to check out the venue turned out to be one of the best choices we made. We were very well looked after and It allowed us to appreciate the charm of the place, build excitement and provide reassurance that we were making the right choice. On the Friday night we had wood-fired pizza night (arranged by our wedding planner / Longeveau). It was a delightful prelude to the weekend, setting a boozy but relaxed tone for the celebrations ahead. Everyone really enjoyed the pizza! Julie even insured the two cocktails we requested were available behind the bar and some guests who arrived late and missed the pizza were able to get sandwiches / salads. The bar and outdoor area is a perfect setting for a night before or day after wedding celebration. The wedding day itself was a testament to the staff's professionalism. Beautiful property with everything you could wish for. Lovely outdoor areas to laze or sit. Super heated pool. The house is surrounded by sunflower fields. Large supermarket about 15 mins drive and lots of lovey restaurants within 10 mins. Bergerac airport is about 45 minutes drive. It was perfect weather (end October). Golf course on the site and more within hours drive. Highly recommend the Le Merisier property.

Sooo…It has taken 6 months to write this review as we didn’t even know where to start! My beautiful wife and I got married at Longeveau in October 2023 and what an experience it was. From the meticulous planning from the onsite team before our special weekend, to the seamless delivery from checkin to farewell, we couldn’t thank Julie and team enough for the incredible experience. Chef Mika produced plate after plate of utter perfection (neither of us are easy to please working in hospitality ourselves) that kept our 120 guests fuelled and ready for the festivities. A special mention to both Julie and Virginie who delivered a Polish themed celebration that we will never forget. Already looking at booking our holiday at Longeveau for 2025… Rob & Monika Aka RoMo

We decided to celebrate our wedding in Longeveau in Sept 3023 as I had gone on holiday there as a child and always loved it and thought it would be a perfect wedding venue. I wasn't wrong because it turned out to be absolutely amazing. We can't thank Julie and her team enough for all their hard work. Our three day wedding weekend ran smoothly with zero issues whatsoever and required no input from us during the entire weekend- the staff just seemed to be working hard always in the background without us even noticing and made everything go seamlessly. The food was exceptional. Pretty much all our guests have commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more from the team at Longeveau. Will be back soon hopefully.

Superb Villa Merisier. Well equipped and spacious. Lovely pool. Friendly and attentive staff. Large garden with shady areas. Good parking for several cars. Good range of comfortable patio furniture. Highly recommend.

Really wonderful location and great facilities for families with young kids. The staff are amazing and we had a tremendous time overall. We will be back. We stayed in the Grangette gite, which was really lovely and perfectly equipped for a small family. The only gripe I would have is that the double bed was very small. As someone 6'2" tall, it was a bit too short for me.
