First I'll say I attempted to handle this with the hotel. This is the third time we have stayed here and it has really gone downhill. Here are a few issues from our recent stay. I contacted both the hotel and Best Western and they offered a 'discount on a future stay' yet did did not address our issues while we were there. The person who checked us in did not demonstrate our room and we were unaware there were blackout blinds. She also neglected to give proper instructions to open the outside door with the code. When we arrived, we found the heat was not working. We were given a space heater and told the heating contractor would be there the next day to fix the heat. The heat was not fixed until day three of our stay. The first day of our stay we did not receive maid service even though we had the sign on the door. The second day we had maid service but there were paper towels left in our room and they didn’t put a trash bag in our trash can in the bathroom. The trash in the main room was not emptied. The third cleaning our trash was not emptied, the bathroom floor was not cleaned and they left a large black bucket on our table. They didn’t replace our drinking glasses or replenish the coffee. The breakfast was not up to your standards from our previous stay, either. The pastries were old, there was no option for omelettes, the bacon was soggy, the jelly dishes were empty. This was extremely disappointing. The last night of our stay, we returned to the hotel around 23:30 and there was a full-on party in the parking lot. This should be monitored so this doesn’t happen as it made us uncomfortable walking into the hotel.
