Excellent location, great service, and delicious food in this hotel!

吡鄰古城的精品酒店，在客房前小坐吃茶點，看湖面落日，可參加酒店的垂釣等各種活動，客房景觀好、房間大、有特色、服務好，房費包早和晚餐，套餐組合，晚上有伴餐演出，去波隆納魯古城方便

這家酒店在中國遊客裏很不出名，我是偶然看到的，結果成了整個斯里蘭卡行程最驚喜的一家酒店！真的是小而精緻，所有的佈置都非常有格調，不愧曾經是英國女王下榻的酒店。其他地方不説，單説一個小細節，酒店在湖邊，野生動物猴子、松鼠這些也很多，但是真的一衹蚊子都沒有，坐在湖邊看日落極度愜意。就從這個細節就可見酒店管理真的下了功夫～唯一就是酒店wifi 長時間不用要重新登陸，有點麻煩，但是網速可以～

Un havre de paix avec une vue magnifique sur le lac. Chambre superbement décorée et tout confort. Salle de restaurant sur le lac. Petit déjeuner excellent et copieux. Et personnel aux petits soins. Excellente localisation pour visiter la cité antique de Polonaruwa. Je recommande chaleureusement.

This colonial style hotel is beautifully designed, luxurious, and sits right by the lake, offering lovely views. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The food was okay. A good choice if you're if you're looking for a stylish and refined place to stay.

This was my second visit to EKHO Lake and my impressions didn't change. This is a great hotel - a small boutique hotel on the edge of the lake with great staff, service and ambience. It is also very closely located to the ruins in Polonnaruwa. Priyahntha Koralegedara (the Senior Guest Manager) was fantastic and did a great job looking after us. We loved our big room with the big bed, great bathroom and separate dressing room. The view out across the lake was stunning. The food was fantastic - great Sri Lankan breakfast and the Sri Lankan curries for dinner were so tasty. Spicy but not burning hot ........ great food. It is worth staying a few nights here to explore the surrounding countryside. Amd remember that the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip stayed here for their honeymoon. We got a tour of her suite - wish I could afford it !!!!!!!

Beautiful hotel and view; outstanding service; and delicious food. We stayed as a family of 4 and the staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for us; even showing my son how to fish. The food was all fantastic- especially their Lake House Curry and Sri Lankan Breakfast; but there were lots of choices for our fussy kids too. My husband had an amazing Balinese massage and my daughter and I had spa treatments from lovely Amy, which were great. The manager Priyantha was also kind enough to show us the Royal Suite where Queen Elizabeth stayed in 1954 - complete with gold bath! Great location too; right on the historic Kumara Potuna royal bathing site with stunning views of the lake. Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful hotel.

Everything about this property is top notch from the location to the accommodation the staff and the food ! What an experience! Felt like we were in the lap of luxury . Nice small pool to take a refreshing dip and watch the sun set . Room was massive with the added plus of a nespresso coffee maker , which after the dreadful instant Nescafé coffee prevalent in Sri Lanka was a welcome bonus .Restaurant food was fabulous with massive portions .
