This is a lovely small resort which we love going back to year after year. From your unit (one or two bedrooms) if you are on the beach side, it is literally just a few feet from the pool, and then a few more feet to the beach. If you are on the other side, you cross the street and then you are again within steps to the pool and beach. There is a pool and hot tub on that side as well. The units are a bit dated, but everything works well. The units have well stocked kitchens, and some have multiple bathrooms. It is a very short walk to the Pompano Beach commercial area with a pub, gift shops, restaurants, and an ice cream shop. A short drive to Publix and other shopping areas, the location feels secluded but is near everything. Good restaurants abound. Pompano is less touristy than Fort Lauderdale and not congested. There are BBQ grills and tables to eat or enjoy a drink. Elevators for the disabled. We love it because it is never crowded and the amenities are great.
