Environnement superbe. Chambre impeccable et confortable . Choix de restaurants de qualités impressionnant. Proximité de la ville d’Armacao de Pera et de sa superbe plage . Bref un petit paradis sur terre.

Avis très mitigé sur ce complexe hôtelier qui pourrait être beaucoup mieux mais « y’a-t-il un manager dans l’hôtel »? Points positifs : Le lieu est très calme, le parc est très bien entretenu. Une voiture est indispensable mais la situation est parfaite pour sillonner la region. La villa est très bien équipée avec notamment une machine à laver indispensable avec un bébé. La literie est très bien. Le petit déjeuner est complet et varié et il y a du vrai jus d’orange, gage de qualité pour nous. Le personnel du pool bar est très sympa du petit déjeuner jusqu’au soir (à part une personne qui est loin d’être aimable et souriante). Points négatifs : Concernant la villa, le ménage est fait en façade. Sur la table de salle à manger, entre les planches, on trouve toutes sortes de déchets moisis etc. Le ménage n’a pas été fait tous les jours pendant notre séjour soit 10 fois sur 14 jours, c’est un peu moyen et ce n’est pas faute de mettre le panneau entre 3h et 5h par jour pendant nos absences quasi quotidiennes de 9h à 14h. Le sol était sale, nous avions le dessous des pieds noir en marchant pieds nus. La terrasse du haut pourrait être agréable mais les fauteuils en rotin sont tellement abîmés qu’on se blesse dessus. Le portillon du jardinet est remplacé par un croisillon fixé qu’il faut donc enjamber. Sur la terrasse, il faudrait ajouter un étendoir pour le linge car quand on fait une machine, les 2 fils ne suffisent pas. Les odeurs qui remontent dans les salles de bain sont très prononcées et désagréables. Concernant les parties communes, on se passerait du souffleur autour de la pisicine qui pue l’essence pendant le petit déjeuner, idem pour le karcher. La pelouse et le tour de la piscine ne sont pas assez nettoyés. On y trouve des restes de nourriture, les petites tables sont très sales, un mouchoir est resté dans la pelouse pendant tout notre séjour. Concernant le management invisible, ce serait bien de faire comprendre aux clients qu’il ne faut pas réserver les transats avant d’aller au petit déjeuner, d’autant plus si c’est pour les laisser vides une bonne partie de la journée. De même, certains client imposent leur musique pourrie autour de la piscine avec une enceinte et le son à fond et là encore pas de management pour dire quelque chose, tous les autres clients subissent. Un dernier exemple qui montre le manque d’encadrement, un petit déjeuner sans la machine à boissons chaudes et c’est la panique totale, désorganisation et chaos. On nous dit d’attendre 5min pour avoir des cafés au bar, on les attend encore. Alors qu’une tablée arrivée après et qui a râlé a été servie avant tout le monde. Notre avis est donc très mitigé sur ce complexe qui a du potentiel mais où il y a beaucoup de choses à améliorer.

I would love to give this place a poor review to put people off going so I could keep it for myself but that would be doing the staff a real disservice. I can't fault this place at all- the place was spotless inside and out and the rooms were well equipped with fridge ,safe and air conditioning and lovely hot showers. The breakfast had something for everyone and changed each day. The staff are the real star of the show though and nothing is too much trouble. We mentioned we were looking for worry beads and the next thing we knew one of the waitresses at breakfast went across the street and brought back a selection for us to choose from and purchase from the shop opposite. Special mention to Ioanna who was so friendly and up for a laugh she really made our holiday. Great Central location but quiet with a lovely small pool and pool area. Can't wait to come back!

L'endroit est idéal avec des petits bungalows typiquement portugais, belle situation au calme avec beaucoup de nature et bon emplacement pour partir à gauche et à droite sans être dans une cohue touristique. L'équipe est très accueillante, l'anglais et le français y sont aussi parlé, la nourriture est de qualité et on y respire que du bonheur! Nous y avons passé de très très bonnes vacances! Je recommande!

Just came back from this hotel we stayed for 3 nights and it was great. We were lucky and got warmer than usual weather for this time of the year but air conditioning all around hotel and rooms was great. Large outdoor pool and small jacuzzi beside it, also an indoor pool and hottub. The water in the pool was bloody freezing but was still great, has a swim up bar which serves great cocktails and meals, can sometimes be a bit of a wait but cocktails are all made from scratch not from a machine and the food served is lovely and fresh and made to order. Some items and cocktails are more on the pricier side so buying drinks from the local supermarket is ideal. Breakfast in the morning was consistently brilliant, so much selection of fruits, pastries, and hot foods as well as cereals and the hot drinks from the machines are surprisingly very nice. Rooms are slightly dated but not an issue at all, very clean and comfortable with a large balcony. Although the hotel and staff are great theres a few small issues but not anything major and wouldn’t put us off going back. The hairdryers being the main issue. Probably the worst hotel hairdryer i have ever witnessed so BRING YOUR OWN HAIRDRYER and thank me later. The beds could do with being replaced as very very creaky but the mattress pillows duvet comfortable and clean. The minimarket up the hill from hotel is expensive so walk into the town and go to bom dia supermercado for much cheaper water, snacks etc. The area has loads of bars shops and restaurants to choose from, a lovely beach in the area and the views are great. This hotel is at the top of a very steep street so if you have mobility issues this may not be ideal unless you are willing to get a taxi to the top every night as the footpaths are also cobbled and tend to be blocked by cars. If you want to go elsewhere for a night, an uber into Albufeira will cost between 18-25€ per way but the drive is over half an hour so in my opinion a very fair price. All in all a great hotel in a lovely area and would definitely recommend!

Fantastic hotel. Rooms cleaned every day location great. Reception staff very helpful and always had a smile Big thank you to Thomas ( I think that’s his name) at reception. Almost every night we asked him for directions to restaurants/ bus stops etc and he was so good at explaining it to us. Lovely pool area small but quiet and relaxing Breakfast staff were fine but a simple smile in the morning would have been nice A bit “ grumpy “ to say the least. Umberto was just great. He’s the tall one. Always had the biggest smile for you when we walked in. Very very nice man. Would recommend this hotel. If I ever return to ALVOR , I will certainly return to this hotel. !!! Just to say the jet 2 rep was wonderful. I took ILL one morning and she went above and beyond to help me. Phoned later that day to check on me and also the following day too. Wish I could remember her name. So a big thank you to her !!!

Just returned from a 3 ball golf Trip. Played Faldo and O'connor twice each. First off, this place isn't perfect, but value for money you cannot have any complaints. We were more than satisfied. O'connor was a decent resort course. Tee boxes on some holes were poor and some of the bunkers are not up to scratch. Tee boxes do not stop you hitting a decent shot. Crap lie in a bunker with no sand?.... Move it! who cares, this isn't a professional tournament. Overall the O'connor is not bad. I wouldn't include it on my trip back if wasn't already part of the package but still good. Shout out David from Denmark who joined us on our last day and participated hugely in a 4 ball scramble. 9 under. Not bad Faldo Course. This course is fantastic. Much better maintained to that of the O'connor, although still some ropey tee boxes. Very tough course in 40 mph winds and even more difficult when still slightly drunk from the night before. This course I would Happily detour off and play again. True test of golf that will hurt complacency on the back 9 especially. Hole 10 the one of the toughest holes I have ever played. 495 yards par 4 that is usually into wind. We were very lucky with Buggies as clearly they do not have enough. On 2 occasions we got the last two buggies which meant anyone booking in their round after us, would have had to wait. Pace of play was always very good. Surprising really but only got stuck once on the Faldo after we caught up on the 12th hole. After a really poor 14th by us, everyone dispersed again and smooth sailing there on after. For the most part you feel like you are the only ones on the course. Shuttle service was good, although only one driver most days but wasn't really an issue. Resort itself - 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was excellent. Really well looked after and modern throughout. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Some more quieter than others and some clearly new to their jobs but the intent to help was always there. We managed to move one days golf and bring it forward as weather forecast for the Thursday looked miserable. Lady in pro shop was very helpful and happy to accommodate. Luckily we did as Thursdays weather was horrific. Food decent enough and not bad value for money. Lunch we had at resort but for dinners we went into Albufeira or Vilamoura. Top tip - Download Uber and use these for travel, much cheaper. Breakfast was nice. Lots to offer and no complaints here Negatives - No supermarket on site. For a self catering resort, this is stupid. Pool closed October. Not sure we would have made the pool anyway as weather wasn't the best. Location - Middle of nowhere. Will need cabs and Ubers for travel. Bunkers on O'connor in particular are poor. Tee boxes on both not great on some holes. Some cabagey rough areas around greens, not many. For all he negative reviews knocking about, I was very nervous about this place as it was me that picked and organised this trip. I didn't want to let the boys down
