Premier Inn Aberdeen South (Portlethen)

Friendly welcome and great staff Ryan there to assist when we needed and made us feel very welcome Julia at check in was a great help and made us feel welcomed Would recommend

We had a weekday reservation for four adults (two rooms) for one night bed and breakfast. There was no one on reception when we arrived, so we pressed the call bell and waited a few minutes until the receptionist arrived from next door at Brewers Fayre. We had a minor hiccup checking in as the receptionist couldn’t locate one of our reservations even though we had the email and reservation number, but he was able to resolve this for us eventually. The next morning at breakfast (Brewers Fayre) we had the same issue checking in for our pre-paid breakfast; except the manager on shift at the restaurant was reluctant to assist us. It took the Premier Inn receptionist stepping in to resolve this issue again. Overall we had a good stay and pleasant sleep, it’s just a shame the breakfast aspect let it down.

We stay at Aberdeen South 4 or 5 times a year. ThePremier Inn is the ideal location for us. The staff are the most helpful people we have met. Anna and her team do a great job and nothing is too much trouble,they are always so friendly and welcoming.

Room is below usual Premier Inn quality. The usually provided comfortable chair or sofa bed is missing so no reasonable relaxation. Only a hard upright chair is provided at the desk. Reception unable to resolve because no rooms available to reallocate. Suggested to complain again next morning when there might be a room change available.

Stayed here for two nights to explore the area/and some of the many castles. Room cost minimal amount booking in advance . Was allocated a room in a separate building. Given an upstairs room. It was huge compared to other ones we have stayed in. Was still the old style room but was ok. It had a bath with lovely hot water and was very quiet. On the Thursday night the car park was full of work vans and the weekend seemed quieter. We had two breakfasts in the Brewers Fayre adjoining and a meal there each evening. Food is cheaper if you eat before 5 or 6 ? than getting a meal deal. All very nice with outside seating in the sunshine. The only negatives for me was I wanted to tidy up the outside area. ( the plants etc and just a general bit more of maintenance ) just to make the place seem a more loved and clean, otherwise a very pleasant stay.

This is a very good budget hotel. Nice quiet location. Brewers Fayre right next door if you fancy food. You can eat outside. The staff are really nice, very helpful and check in is no problem. I will be using this again. I would highly recommend it
