We have just returned from a 3 night stay at No 4 in Portpatrick . All I can say is Outstanding few days away , from when we arrived Simon & Cathy made us feel so at home & welcome, check in so smooth & easy , room was so clean & well decorated, Breakfast was absolutely delicious & to top it all off the sun was shining every day. Great walks from the door and loads of nice places to eat, couldn’t have asked for anything more for a few days away. Thanks Simon & Cath for such a pleasant stay, we will return. Phil & Julie

5 star plus fantastic hosts. Extra comfy & good quality beds, bedding & towels, hand & shower gel soap, tea/ coffee tray was amazing even hot chocolate & delicious homemade shortbread, access to fridge in hallway with free water & fresh milk you can leave any of your own drinks (wine beer ect) so you always have cold drink. Breakfast was amazing very fresh well cooked quality produce used , homemade potato scones & sourdough bread jam & marmalade were all so yummy great choices. We stayed 3 nights from now on this would be the only accommodation we would stay in at Portpatrick was brilliant from start to finish

My wife and I have recently visited this B&B close to the centre of Portpatrick for the first time and our two-night stay was excellent. Owned and run by Simon and Cathy, who were very friendly, efficient and full of helpful local information, we could not have enjoyed our visit more. We had room no1 upstairs and it was so clean and welcoming, with a great super-king bed and a lively ensuite. The views towards the sea were appreciated too. Breakfasts were freshly prepared to order and it was good to chat with fellow guests over the joint table in the dining room. We travel quite a lot for work and pleasure and this place really does deserve a full 5/5 rating in every respect. In short, we hope to return.

This is a little gem of a B&B. Wonderful hosts, knowledgeable of the area and recommendations for places to eat. Comfy beds, lovely en-suite, great choice of breakfast. If you get chance, the room looking over the harbour has the best views. this was our 4th stay here and we will be back.

This is a brilliant place to stay. Good location Excellent room with comfortable bed and very good shower. Simon and Cathy are great hosts and provided delicious breakfasts. We would definitely recommend No 4 Portpatrick for a stay by the sea.

I knew we were going to enjoy staying here just from viewing the website and I was right. We had the twin room on the ground floor at the back of the house. Such a nice, homely place to come back to at the end of the day in the prettiest corner of the village, beside the putting green and a minute from the harbour. Super breakfasts too with lots of variety. Excellent value at £85 prpn. Simple online booking process with payment on departure. Simon and Cathy were exceptionally warm and welcoming. Many thanks!

Number 4 Portpatrick is very special indeed. We stayed for 7 nights in July 2024. Cathy and Simon are lovely, on hand to help with anything, but never in your face. Simon makes all the bread (including sourdough) for the extra special breakfasts. There is a large choice and everything is cooked to perfection. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities which are topped up every day. No little plastic cartons of UHT milk here! There is a fridge in the hallway where you can collect your little jug of fresh milk whenever. There is also a plentiful supply of bottled water in the fridge(which can also be used to store any personal items). Yummy homemade biscuits are supplied in the room daily. The en-suite toilet/shower is sparklingly clean, with a very good shower. Hand soap and shower gel is provided. Fluffy hand and bath towels are in the room and changed frequently. Number 4 is 5 Star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, I truly cannot fault it.

Excellent B&B. Well situation, nice view of the putting green. Hosts Simon and Cathy are very friendly, welcoming and obliging. Simon makes his own soda bread, which is excellent. I have stayed many times at No4. The accommodation is great value for money. A great welcome on arrival. The rooms have everything one needs for a stay. Clean, well presented. Very comfortable bed and a good sleep. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice both for meat eaters and vegetarians. No4 is a great location just a couple of minutes from the main street and opposite the putting green; which is well woth a go. Simon and Cathy are great hosts. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending No4. I will certainly be back for another stay. Thanks.
