I was here at the beginning of October and loved it. It’s central enough yet not in the total craziness. I went to Positano several times, and it can be very crowded and loud. Here you can actually be away from the noise but be downtown anytime you like in 10 min. It’s family owned and operated. Maria (the owner), told me that initially it was their family home, her grandfather bought it at the beginning of the century and her dad was even born here. It still has the charme of a family home, and it really feels like you’re with family. Maria was just lovely, always so patient and available to everyone I could see. She truly cares you’ll leave with the best impression of everything, not just of her residence. She told me the best way to get anywhere, what bus number to take, what taxi number to dial (or she would just do it for me), train and ferry schedules, the best no tourist trap restaurants etc. She was just the best concierge, it was like having a friend in Positano with your best interests in mind ! Breakfast was plentiful and with produce coming from their own garden, figs, grapes, oranges, apricots. Her father grows them, and they tasted so so delicious. I just sat on the veranda in the morning and looked out at the sea, boats and gardens while sipping my cappuccino and fresh orange juice, it was priceless. My apartment was spotless and came with a little kitchen equipped with everything, a dining room and a beautiful veranda. On some days, when I didn’t feel like walking to the beach or be in the crowd, I just stayed in, read a book while suntanning, ordered a pizza and enjoyed the panorama. I loved having the choice of eating out while staying in if I wanted to. I hope to go back soon, thank you Familia Celentano !
