Evalena Beach Hotel

Took the kids away for a week in October and we had a lovely time. The hotel staff were all very friendly, welcoming and hard working, especially the cleaning staff, who made the rooms up to a very good standard every day. The hotel is located at the end of the beachfront and is a short 5-10 minute walk to the main street in Protaras. The hotel itself is pleasant, clean and tidy. Our sea view room was spacious and clean with a modern bathroom. The main bed was very soft and comfortable (the additional bed was a fold out chair, the mattress was rock solid and pretty difficult to sleep on, that's my only negative mark on our stay). We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast selection was ample enough to cater for everyone, fresh fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast all available etc. There is minimal evening entertainment, a few nights a week there Is live music in the bar. This didn't bother us as we were out every evening. The pool is a bit on the chilly side however the sea and beach are great to swim in and use instead. I note that there is an issue with sun bed reservers from previous posts, again we didn't use the sun beds or pool so I can't make comment on this as it didn't affect us. Great location, clean and pleasant hotel. I have no hesitation in saying that this hotel is a great place to stay.

Atlantica Aqua Blue

On arrival first impressions were good. The hotel is modern and looks impressive from the outside. On entering, the hotel looked clean, most staff are friendly, reception is questionable. Check in was quick. You are not given any sort of welcome pack just a QR code. You can download an app which allows to you open your door without a key card, which was quite good. However, you don’t get told anything such as where to get towels, restaurant opening times etc. nothing. The rooms were modern but not always very clean. Many days we returned to our room to find additional long black hairs on the floor both in bedroom and bathroom. Did not belong to either of us. There were also hairs on our bed mattress protector. One night my bed was unfortunate and under the sheets there was a curtain rail hook. Cleanliness does not come very high here! Room size is a little on the small size. We had a wheelchair with us and to get it into the room it had to be folded to get by the bed. Room does have a mini bar if all Inclusive, however it only gets filled once during your stay then its chargeable. I have never had to pay extra for a mini bar when AlI inclusive even staying in other hotels including Atlantica hotels. This hotel has water refilling stations throughout the hotel at the pool sides & in room corridors. It does not give you bottled water. Again, this is the first hotel we’ve stayed in which does this even in Cyprus. It would have been nice if this was advertised so you bring refillable bottles with you. Food was not the best and although an all inclusive hotel the restaurant didn’t have much atmosphere and felt like a canteen especially at night. We had to queue to be seated then queue for food, often empty spaces and food and plates not being replaced. You never new if the food would be hot or cold. Often certain foods were not available as they had run out for the day, especially in the morning such as fresh orange juice or grapes. At night you would have to wait for the food to be replaced. The were times when there were not plates or bowls for the food. Some guests made a mess in the food area, but staff didn’t bother to clear away, which I appreciate is not a nice part of the job but does need doing. We ate out more than in as the food just wasn’t the best. We did hire a car which we found to be a life saver. We ate our most days, just returning to sleep, which is not good when we’ve paid thousands to stay here AI. The pool is not very accessible for people with limited ability or disabled. Only 3 slippery and slimy steps to get in and out of the pools. The pool doesn’t get cleaned very well and you often see slim on the sides of the pool. As they day goes on the area around pools become very slippery and at night when they get cleaned, they are even worse than during the day, especially the area to the al a carte restaurant. My husband could not use the pool due to the access and I had trouble also getting in and out. There ar
The Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites

Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel

Capo Bay Hotel

Wow Capo Bay hotel you once again didn’t disappoint. It’s been a few years since our last visit to Beautiful Cyprus . We had interconnected rooms inland view which were comfortable and clean we Had a small fridge that was great for keeping cold drinks water and milk .Although looking a little tired and could do with a few renovations paint work mainly and shower door leaked while showering nothing a towel on the floor couldn’t sort . Hopefully management will look at this over the winter or in future to keep the 4 star status up .The sun stayed most of the day on the balcony just a shame that on this side they aren’t a bit bigger .Although we did manage to squeeze the 3 of us on as daughter didn’t want to sit on her own balcony by herself. The Reception Team were all very helpful ,always there to answer any questions a special mention to flora always goes above and beyond for us .The reception area is always kept extremely clean always beautiful displays of flowers and porters on hand helping with luggage. We stayed on a B&B basis always greeted with a smile And a good morning from Marietta and believe me breakfast does not disappoint so much choice restaurant Manager Andreas leads a great Team and the chefs produce beautiful food we had the evening buffet one night the puddings are exceptional. We were a bit unsure about the sun bed situation changing this time not being allocated any more but getting one was never an issue always Greeted by costas and the friendly pool team when getting fresh towels . Thank you Team Capo Bay we hope to return next year Have a restful winter Hakin Family Devon England
