I travelled to Santiago by myself, and, as it is s very big city, I was worried about staying at an unsafe location. However, I am pleased to say that the area around the hotel seemed really organized and secure, and the path to the metro station is very short and easy. About the hotel itself, the room was excellent, with a comfortable bed, a safe, a very large TV and a desk. Wi-Fi worked well (of course, not exactly perfect, but good enough), and the bathroom facilities also were perfectly adequate. The staff were kind and always ready to answer my questions and give me recommendations. Therefore, I am pleased to be able to recommend Capital Bellet to whomever wants to visit Santiago!

Service très agréable, pro et à l'écoute Mon vol arrivant bien avant l'heure du check in, je n'ai eu aucune difficulté avec le personnel pour accéder à la chambre bien que non prévenus. Les installations sont de qualité, la piscine au niveau du roof top aurait tout de même besoin d'un lifting et surtout d'être à une température inférieure à 35 degrés. Restau de bonne facture, très bons repas Expérience très positive

L’ambiance est top dans cet hostal! L’équipe est vraiment cool et disponible. Big up à Pamela qui m’a accueillie lors de mon arrivée tardive et à Roman avec qui j’ai bien discuté. Il y a beaucoup de salles de bain, toujours propres Seule point négatif, c’est qu’il fait très très froid, partout (dans les chambres et dans les espaces de vie commune)

I loved this hotel! The staff was really wonderful and accommodating. Juan was at the front desk each morning with a greeting of ”Good Morning Madame.” Nicolas was very helpful in arranging my stay prior to the visit, which was helpful. Every staff member was really friendly and accommodating. They served a small breakfast buffet in the main level each morning, even cooked eggs to order if you'd like. I went to this country traveling as a solo female. This was a nice location because it's walking distance to several restaurants and a lovely park. I felt completely safe in the area. My favorite was the Peruvian restaurant! I had this amazing seabass dish with scallops and calamari with a sauce on top. This was all on a bed of risotto. Chilian wine...fantastic! I wasn't familiar with this region's wine and was surprised at how good it was. My meal, paired with a lovely Chilian Sauvignon Blanc Reserve was so delicious that I went back and had the same thing the next night. There is also a hill about a mile away that has the Christ statue, that is very walkable. There is a Japanese Garden on the hill. If you can't walk there, there is a funicular and the Uber car service worked just as it does in the US. One tip, if you're from the US or North, the maps will be backwards on Google. Just google directions to get them in the direction you're going. I got lost the first day until I did my Google search on how to fix. The only problem I had was the language. Very few people speak English. I even went to a restaurant, fine dining at a park, quite lovely, but nobody spoke English and the menu was only in Spanish. To make matters worse, my phone died! Be prepared with how to use Google Translate, that will help, but if your phone dies, you're dead in the water. I found it very hard to communicate with people, which would not have been as bad had I not been traveling alone. I found it to be very isolating. I even took a tour with an English-speaking guide. I thought great, now I can chat with people, but NO! It was a guide who spoke Spanish, then translated to Portuguese, then English. I was the only English-speaking person on the bus. The museums, a few are only available in Spanish so no point going to those if you don't speak Spanish. Other than the language barrier, I had a lovely time. My highlight was my hotel and the staff!

On the last night of our holiday, 300924, my travel companion and I both had our backpacks stolen from the hotels Reception area of the Almasur Hotel, Santiago, Chile. The Hotel did have Security staff onsite, but there was no security manning the front door. When I made a formal complaint, the General Mgr of the hotel needed to check the CCTV footage for any theft. He seemed very put out by the fact that he had to do the checks of the CCTV footage. He did locate someone suspicious in the Hotel Reception area, who we suspect was the thief of our backpacks. I did see the footage but the footage wasn’t shared with me. My issues for complaint are:  There was no security staff on the front door – people not staying at the hotel were free to come and go without checks;  The General Manager, who was in the building and at the front desk when we were standing there, made no effort to approach us and / or apologise for any inconvenience caused by the theft;  To date we have received nothing from the hotel acknowledging the theft, even though I reported it to the front desk within 30 minutes of it happening. Another interesting fact is that one of our tour companions had something removed from her room in the same hotel – this was an item she had purchased to take home to Australia. The item was clearly packaged in the room to show it was not rubbish / refuse however the hotel claimed it was taken and disposed of as rubbish. The item had to be repurchased. Beautiful hotel and location, but something needs to be done about security in the hotels Reception area.

Cama é ótima . Porém todo o resto foi péssimo ! Atendimento péssimo , funcionários grosseiros e sem educação nenhuma . Tivemos a cobrança indevida de toalhas de banho minimamente sujas de maquiagem , além de tomarmos banho gelados por 2 dias no frio de Santiago !! O café da manhã é bom . Tivemos itens furtados de dentro da acomodação e 2 amigos tiveram seus iPhones furtados ! Um descaso imenso !

Our stay at the AC Marriott Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the Front Door Staff to the Concierge to the Front Desk to the Restaurant hostess and staff to the Luna Bar staff, especially the bartenders, to the Lobby Bar and the Hospitality Manager... all were delightful interactions. I am a Marriott Titanium and Hilton Diamond member so I clearly travel more than I really should and I have rarely given a positive review like this one. The hotel location is great, the Luna Bar offers tremendous views of the Sunset, Santiago and the Andes. The craft cocktails are amazing and so are their Pisco Sours especially if you upgrade the Pisco. Our breakfast and brunch experiences were also excellent. We got upgraded to a corner suite which came with a nice bottle of Chilean Cab! The rooms are modern and well appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel.

First vegan review. My wife and I are vegan and we were not expecting much. First day they had little cartons of almond milk but after that day they did not have any anymore. They have different fruits, strawberry, cantaloupe, no bananas, that's odd. and some not fresh fruit like pineapple in syrup. They also have coffee and tea. Oats that you can make with hot water from the nestle coffee maker hot water. Cereal like corn flakes and dry bread. Pool closed ”under maintenance” Bad things: Room key kept failing. Had to get it reprogrammed multiple times. Toilet does not flush well, had to do it multiple times. Soap bars are tiny and not very soapy. Might be the water but not sure. No free coffee in the room, just a hot water electric kettle Pros: Clean room. Good service. Across the street from a Starbucks, grocery store. Walking distance from bars/restaurants. Overall, a good option for a budget hotel.
