Meilleurs Hôtels de Puerto Iguazú, Argentine

Room was big and clean. Location was great, walking distance to bus terminal, good restaurants and river iguazu. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Service could have been much better for a 4-star hotel. I am travelling around ARG and stay mostly at 4-star accomodations and i must say the service here can be improved. Staff, although provide information when asked, had a snappy attitude. There was only one male staff at the reception, who speaks good English, who rendered good service, was polite and understand customer service in hospitality.

Large, modern, comfortable room with everything needed for the stay. Good breakfast, although on the first day overcrowded thanks to a large tour group preparing for getaway. Food and service in both the ground floor restaurant and the roof terrace were of good quality. Attentive and friendly front desk staff. Spectacular view from roof terrace (rooftop pool closed, but not a problem for us). Recommended.

Checking in was smooth and painless. Room was clean and comfortable. Room and toilet amenities were adequate. Breakfast spread was pretty normal. Housekeeping was great. Overall, staff are quite friendly and helpful. Location was good on a quiet street. Walking distance to the centre of town and to the viewpoint of the rivers dividing the 3 countries of Paraguay, Brazil & Argentina. The hotel has seen it's hey days back when. It's quite dated but the management has done it's darnest to maintain a standard. The restaurant at the pool isn't that good. Like a public pool canteen kinda fare. Lots of area to lounge around the pool. The pool looks like a standard pool at summer camp...like something out of a 60's movie. I gave it a 4* rating as I don't think the Esturion should be short changed as it still has alot to offer if given a chance to be tweaked....but for now it is a solid 3.5*. Would consider staying here again.

Hotel Bagu Grand Crucero is located in the centre of Posades at 5 km of the bus-station. The hotel offers 43 rooms over 4 floors, a restaurant & wine-shop. The hotel is practical and pleasant. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly and helpful staff but don’t expect much English. We had a room with view of the street. Our room was adequately furnished and decorated, with a good kingsize bed, TV on the wall, desk & chair, air-conditioning, wardrobe & safe. We had a small separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin, bidet and shower. All was clean. Windows can be opened but have no mosquito screens. There is the usual city traffic noise. The buffet breakfast is OK: bread & toast, ham & cheese, scrambled eggs, butter & marmalade, croissants, a choice of pastries, fruit & orange juice, cereals, milk, tea & coffee. We found hotel Bagu Grand Crucero comfortable and we had a good stay.

When I review a place it generally means that I had an issue. This hotel is fine for the price but there were several things that wrecked the experience for us. 1-the pool water was green so we couldn’t use it. Lack of chemical maintenance would be my guess. 2-air conditioner had no controls. It was either on or off. We inquired and they said it was the way it is. 3-room 307 has no wifi. Again we inquired and the answer was that’s the way it is in Iguazú. Finally we spoke with a different front desk person who said the WIFI is better on floor 1 so we moved and guess what, the wifi is fine on floor one. Our new room also has batteries in the air conditioning unit so we can control the temperature. Aside from a small amount of black mold growing on the shower caulk, the room is fine. The showers both have a shiny tile floor. Very slippery but they do have a hand hold in the shower. Well, I guess we are in the jungle after all. We were happy to be on the first floor so we wouldn’t have to ride the elevator anymore. The elevator stopped either right on the floor or several inches above or below so rider beware and watch your step! 4-our biggest frustration was with transportation. There are a couple of guys that sit in the lobby and represent a tourist firm of some sorts. They speak or understand no English. If you a Spanish speaker, you may have no problems but we sure did. We were abandoned in Brazil at the water falls there by our driver. We had to be very resourceful to even get back to our hotel. We had no cell service there and although there was wifi at the Falls, it was in operable due to the high traffic. Remember we are in the jungle. We had 2 other issues with transportation solely due to the “tourist company” not really being a company at all. I still don’t know their connection to the hotel but I highly recommend not using these people if you want reliable transportation. 5-the last issue occurred a few minutes ago . We asked for a late check out a couple of days ago and were granted one till 2:00 PM as we were then leaving for the airport. At 11:00 they showed up at our door telling us we had to leave or pay 23.00 late check out. My heart started pumping which can be bad for an old timer and I went directly to the manager. Told him we were granted a late check out by the front desk guy who spoke English. He insisted that we needed to pay the 23.00. I refused to do so and we “discussed “ all of the problems we have had. He was un phased until I said I was going to write a bad review on Trip advisor. Suddenly he said we could stay at no charge till 2. There is also some good to this review.. with the exception of the black mold, the rooms were quite clean. The breakfast was very good and as advertised. The hotel is in a good location. Forgot to say the tv stations are only in Spanish which is what we expect here in Argentina. My advise…if you don’t speak Spanish enough to get by, perhaps try another hotel.

Très bel hôtel dans la nature , situé à 3 ou 4 kms du centre de Puerto Iguaçu – Dépaysement assuré – C’est ce que nous recherchions et nous n’avons pas été déçus, bien au contraire – Nous sommes restés trois nuitées - Accueil très agréable -Personnel très sympathique , à l’écoute, disponible et souriants – Les meubles en bois rustique donnent une ambiance toute particulière au lieu et c’est bien chaud – Tout est propre - Le cadre est magnifique et nous pensons souvent à notre Lodge Anahi – Notre chambre était grande et bien équipée – superbe literie c’est important – Balcon terrasse avec hamac pour écouter le champ des oiseaux à profusion dans la nature – Le petit déjeuner était parfait , large et servi sous forme de buffet – nous le prenions sur la terrasse , comme pour les dîners pour profiter au maximum de cette belle nature environnante (clim trop forte pour nous dans le restaurant) – Le restaurant est excellent , grand choix , plats très bien cuisinés et surtout très bien présentés – Personnel toujours très agréable , efficace et discret – Gardons un excellent souvenir de nos trois jours passés dans ce bel endroit – Etant toujours en visites avec notre guide chauffeur privé Dimitri , nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la piscine qui semblait pourtant bien agréable -

C'est un hôtel très mignon et très stupide. Je touche une chambre triple super large mais avec des coussins désagréables, des serviettes mini, une salle de bain humide avec une cortine de bain de très mauvaise qualité, dans laquelle l'eau de pluie était filtrée. Les amenities comme le savon et le shampooing sont de très mauvaise qualité. L'attention du personnel n'est pas bonne, ils ne sont pas gentils et vous ne pouvez faire le check-in exact 14hs. Le petit-déjeuner est domestique, riche et varié avec une grande variété de repas. Il a une paire très large et belle avec un secteur forestier au fond.

Lamentamos que esté tan descuidado ya que es un hotel muy lindo, pero se desluce con el descuido que tiene y no dan muchas ganas de qued**** disfrutando de las instalaciones. En las fotos de la web está todo muy cuidado, sin embargo las habitaciones les falta mantenimiento, los muebles están despintados, las toallas están manchadas y rotas. A la pileta le falta limpieza, el agua estaba turbia y el espacio que rodea la pileta estaba muy desprolijo (un escobillón apoyado en un árbol, un cif tirado, el pasto crecido, las mesas y sillas sucias, los tachos repletos de basura y bichos buscando en ella, un latón de cerecita al lado del bar, etc...) No obstante quiero destacar la amabilidad del personal del hotel y del restaurante y la limpieza de la habitación. Solo faltó que desinfecten las hormigas que teníamos en el techo del baño . El área donde hay plantas entre las habitaciones también está llena de basura y escombros, al igual que en lateral al que daba nuestra habitación. Reitero que es una pena ya que con poco se podría lograr que las instalaciones estén prolijas para que los huéspedes podamos disfrutar el lugar. Espero sea una crítica constructiva que sirva para poner en condiciones las instalciones y que vuelva a ser disfrutable ya que seguramente lo fue cuando inauguraron.

La Reserva is a gem in the middle of the jungle near Iguacu Falls, Cataratas, Argentina. The staff was incredibly helpful when our original itinerary had to change due to flight delays, and very helpful in general! They provided local information, suggestions, taxi service, and were very friendly and warm. Our room was lovely and clean with very soft bedding and linens. The pool and grounds were incredible! We loved our stay here very much. Other reviewers have complained about language barriers - you are in a Spanish speaking country! Know some basic Spanish when you arrive. If you don't know Spanish, use a translator app. One observation about the restaurant - the food can be quite good, but it will take a while to arrive. Again, you are in Latin America, the pace of life is slower. Be patient, have a caipirinha by the pool or a glass of delicious Argentian wine while you wait for food to arrive.

Cet hôtel fut certainement très beau il y a 10 ou 20 ans mais aujourd’hui il manque cruellement d’entretien. Beaucoup de choses sont cassées ont ne fonctionnent pas. La grande terrasse autour de la piscine est condamnée, il y a carrément des trous dedans. Chambre pour 3 personnes, 1 seule serviette, pas de tapis de bain. Le petit déjeuner est tres moyen : pas de confiture, pas de pate a tartiner, seulement des fruits du pain de mie du beurre et du jambon avec quelques gateaux. L’heure du check out est à 10h ! Je dors entre 50 et 80 nuits par an a l’hôtel, je n’ai jamais vu ça ! Le prix qui paraissait correct aux vues des photos, est finalement bien trop important compte tenu de la réalité.
