Great hotel rooms really spacious loved sunloungers on balcony very clean 2nd time at these apts and will be back Sept would love a pool view apt this time pool bar was excellent food lovely and gd supermarket 10 min walk down to centre cleaners in every day lovely pleasant staff all round great apts

room/cell 211 not pleasant at all, as soon as we saw it we asked to be moved but the language barrier seemed to be the problem so nothing was done, tiny grubby room with slimline mattress topper to add to our discomfort, no balcony as we were on ground floor with entrance footpath right next to us so no privacy what so ever, only two power sockets behind bed , cleaners came in pretty regularly to splash bleach and disinfectant about, the lack of air con was a problem at night as we could not leave sliding door open because of footpath right next to us. we did not use any other facilities pool/bar so cannot add comment, would not consider staying there again.

Stayed here back in December for the New Year. Room was dated but spotlessly clean. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute. This hotel is not suitable for anyone with trouble walking due to many steps on the complex and also the location (which is up the hill) - however everything else is fine.What people have to realise is what you pay. You cannot compare this to a 4/5 star hotel. The fact that this is a 2star property you then have to rate it accordingly. If you want a hotel that is clean and bedding towels changed and you don't mind walking up and down hills then this is fine for the cost.

Booked this hotel for a 4 night stay with my boyfriend. Firstly, the apartment has no aircon or ceiling fans. The room is like a sauna with no air at all. You can hire a fan from reception for €14, however their choice of fans was useless. We didn't want to leave the windows or patio open as the apartment is accessible from the balcony. There are hardly any plug sockets in the room, none next to the beds or mirror. Our door to the apartment didn't shut properly, we asked reception about this and we were told to ask the technician when he's on shift. There were cockroaches scuttling around the apartment, as well as ants on the bedding and bathroom surfaces. The pool area is ok but very crowded. There is no view from the balcony if you are on the pool level.. our balcony looked on to the roof top and solar panels. The loungers and table and chairs on the balcony were dirty. There is a shop within the hotel which is basic and overpriced. There is a poolside snack bar, but only one server on so you'll wait a while to get seen to. This hotel was so grim that we looked to see if any other hotels had availability. We checked out of Montebello after one night and spent the remainder of our holiday at another hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not families with young children. I'm so glad we checked out and left otherwise it would've ruined the holiday completely!

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The location is excellent, offering breathtaking views, especially from rooms above the pool area and from the rooftop. However, be prepared for numerous steps down to harbor area. Having a supermarket next door and other shopping malls nearby was convenient. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a mold problem in our room (610). Despite the hotel being fully booked until the last night of our stay, they were unable to change our room or provide an alternative. While I understand the limitations faced by the hotel, it’s essential for both the hotel and travel agency to take responsibility and find solutions for such issues to ensure a more enjoyable stay for guests.

Just returned home from the montebello. Absolutely can't fault this hotel. We had a one bedroom apartment with a lovely garden veranda. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Pool bar snacks were lush and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Thanks to all at the montebello.

This place just never fails us. We came here for the first time last year and enjoyed it so much we came back for the 2nd time this year before our baby is due. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious - contains everything you need for a self catering holiday. Bathroom is modern with a waterfall shower they even give you shower gel/shampoo. A television which you can get bbc1 and itv on. The balcony is where we spent most of our time, especially at night time watching over the business of Puerto Rico centre, it has a sun bed a table and chairs a parasol and a washing line. The hotel is equipped with a lovely pool and lots of sun beds and parasols. Next to the pool there is a cafe/restaurant where we had lunch most days and the ladies remembered us from last year which was so lovely! Maybe to return again next year with our new addition! first place I've booked into ,that gives you a parachute along with keys, I was on floor 7 beside wee shop, excellent flat better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in ,Apartment had a massive balcony with 2 sun loungers and smashing view. tv hadBBC1 and Itv but didn't really watch tv, big walk in shower , rainfall thingy and shower you could move around .which was terrific. Bedroom had 2 single beds ,which seemed to be stuck together, free safe, and free Wi-Fi which worked fine, poolside café /restaurant had great food at cheap prices, The girls working there were friendly, helpful and worked hard to keep everyone happy. reviews are saying its a 10 minute walk to beach/ nightlife ,its good Usain Bolt and his training partners are writing reviews on TripAdvisor , truth is its in the middle of nowhere up the top of a mountain, I was half expecting to bump into St Michael, its that high up,30 minute walk downhill to beach and nightlife, Bear Grylls wouldn't tackle hill going back to hotel, so was always taxis back from where ever you are. This place would be a goldmine if further down the mountain,

Servatur Montebello Puerto Rico Reasonable hotel, good location, needs aircon. 922136600 Had 9 days here from 2nd October 2023. Arrived quite late at night 11.30pm. Luckily reception was still open as it closed at midnight. Not sure what we would have done if it was closed. Room was fine, with small fridge, stove top, microwave and 2 of everything in cupboards. Beds were 2 x singles which we pushed together. Mattress okay. Weather was extremely HOT 30c + every day and night. We had a small fan, but could really have done with aircon for the night time. Pool was nice at a constant 27c. Didn't try food but seemed okay. There was a restaurant but it was 'closed for holidays!' Location was okay. We had a hire car which we were able to park free of charge in car park front/ below Hotel. The walk from the hotel to the town area with bars restaurants and shops takes about 10 minutes, but you need to have reasonable mobility. There are a couple of safety issues including lights not working on fairly steep steps. This needs highlighting so I have made a short video of our experience viewable on YouTube. All in all a nice holiday. Quiet hotel, friendly people. Lots to do in the town and good beaches nearby (Recommend Amadores beach) but take cash for the sunbeds. Taxis were all on meters with minimum charge of €4.25. (£3.50) this is the max we paid to return to hotel from town. All taxis had card machines so pay by cash or card. Good fun, great location.
