We took a group of 20 people on a Footsteps of the Apostles trip in May, and this was my third stay at the Doryssa Resort. I have loved it in the past, but sadly, I would not stay here again. I feel their service has absolutely tanked. It took an interminable amount of time to check in--each person had to hand in their passport, and it was as if the resort had zero information on us even though this had been booked for weeks. We had two ferry crossings, which we have done on all stays, and they said they could not accommodate us for breakfast at 6:30 am. So, we had 3 mornings of boxed breakfasts, jam-packed with white bread sandwiches, cakes, cookies, and basically solid carbs. They reluctantly put a coffee decanter in the lobby which was full of pea-warm, tasteless coffee. Sorry Doryssa, but I will not be returning. Shame on you! In past we have had the glorious mornings to sit on the veranda and have a full breakfast and coffee and since you say you are "understaffed" I am defintely, most definitely "underwhelmed" by this experience. I will be looking for a new place to stay next time.
