With the price that Peppersoul was charging, the services and facilitates were not particularly justifiable. The best I can say is on par or average. With the booking made several months ago and the price we paid for the the 2 beds seaview apartment, I only asked for one special request to hotel "pls arrange the highest possible floor if you can." To our surprise, we ended up getting 11th floor out of their 73 levels hotel building. All the other hotel guests I met there got 35th fl, 41th fl, or something even higher. That is what I meant average service. If I didn't even ask for that, it would be 2nd floor I would have got? What extra effort had they been doing to accommodate my special request? Absolutely nothing. Probably sent us right to the bottom floor of hotel was what they did. Not even close to an average floor level of the whole 73-storey tower. To be honest, very disappointed.
The check-in time at 2pm promised by Peppersoul was also non-existence. They said the room was not ready and just asked me to sit in the lobby and to wait. Facilities in room were quite seasoned, signs of marks and dents everywhere, and not quite well maintenanced (e.g. the tapes in shower room). For 4 guests checked-in, they had most of the in-room items only for 2 guests (e.g. tool brush sets, slippers, shower/bathrobe, etc. ) We needed to call housekeeping to send us extra items and they did come, but then why did we need to specifically ask for that and they knew very well ahead we had 4 guests (and they didn't forget to charge for 4 guests).
Breakfast was again average. Not too bad but couldn't be said to be excellent. The poor facilities of this hotel could also be reflected by the fact that when we had finished our breakfast and would like to get back to our room for a rest, both of the hotel keys suddenly did not work. Back to reception, again unshameful told us that they would reprogram the code and asked us to try again. No apologies and any sign of shame for a 5 star hotel reception. "Go back, try again, if not work, use the phone to call maintenance to replace batteries". Again, not particularly happy for the time wasted. Although the staff there in general were polite, but there are heaps of 3 stars 4 stars hotels staff they have the same level of politeness. There are however not being seen that they would try all their best to treat guests having VIP experience. Just very average, "you bad luck", "none of my business", "that is what we can do best at the moment" sort of attitude.
Again it would all be related to what they asked for for their price. If it was half of the price they charged for, I might have been a happy customer.
In general, I will never book this hotel again. Not worth it.
