Espadilla Gardens Hotel

It was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with a lovely and helpful staff. You are walking distance to many restaurants, the beach, and the national park. The staff helped us book our excursions (transportation always included). You have access to the sister hotel’s free breakfast and access to the pools on both properties. Rooms were dark, had A/C and a smart Tv! My only complaint was that there was a slight edge in the door so I worried constantly about bugs coming in (we were totally fine though). We saw monkeys and lots of iguanas. It was wonderful. I recommend!

This hotel is in a good location just a 5 minute walk from the beach (although I did not like this beach and only used the beach in the national park). It is also a 10 minute walk from the national park (which was amazing) if not less. The check in was smooth and the member of staff on reception was very informative and friendly. The room was large, bigger than expected and was spotlessly clean all the time we were there. The grounds and pool area were also nice and clean. The breakfast was great. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner as it seemed expensive and there was a lot more choice around. In regards to the area, I am not sure this is the nicest part of Manuel Antonio, but of course this is not reflective of the hotel. The beach was not very clean and the area did not feel as authentic as other parts of Costa Rica we have stayed. However, the hotel itself can not be faulted and we had a great time at the Manuel Antonio national park.
