Ye Olde Bell Hotel & Spa

A fabulous stay, in an interesting and beautiful old building. The staff were super friendly, with a true northern warmth. The room was very comfortable and I slept well. The showers were hot, and water was plentiful. The food was amazing, with large portions, freshly cooked, and presented well. The staff, again, were incredibly attentive and very friendly. A fabulous stay, I challenging conditions, being the hottest day of 2025 so far, about 35°, but no standards slipped at all. Certainly a hotel to revist if I'm in the area again. Thank you all, so much, to all the team that work so hard to make sure the stay was brilliant.

This is an excellant Hotel with plenty of things to do around the area. Retford, Bawtry, Wild life Park and also many super places to eat if you would want soewhere different to Ye Olde Bell.

We had an overnight stay plus twilight spa which was amazing! It was so relaxing. Not as busy this time which was great! We stayed in a lovely room in the main hotel! All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing! It’s a bit pricey but it’s a nice place to go for a treat!

The hotel always offer great food, a good atmosphere and excellent staff. I always look forward to staying at Ye Olde Bell. The staff are always polite and efficient and always have time for a chat which makes my stays all the more enjoyable. The breakfasts are excellent and always freshly cooked juts as I like it

I spoilt myself with a long weekend over three nights and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, thanks to the lovely staff, pleasant hotel and an amazing Spa. Before arrival I arranged Spa and Dinner reservations and the friendliness of the staff continued on my arrival with a warm greeting from Hanna. I arrived earlier than planned and had a tea in the bar area whilst waiting for my room which was ready around 2pm. I chose to have an afternoon Spa from 3-6 to start the break Dinner on the first night was in the 1650 Restaurant which has a nice feel about it. Service was impeccable. Breakfast on all three mornings is probably the best I've had with lovely fresh fruit and to order hot meal. On Saturday there was a wedding and although there people sat outside on the lawn, it wasn't overly noisy. My room overlooked the lawn and as others have said it can get quite hot since the sun sets n that side, although the fan helped with the open windows. I had a full Spa day with 2 treatments on Sunday. This included a lunch which was delicious. The arrival and registering process is very personal with being shown to the locker areas. I like the idea of not being able to take bags into the Spa area and not reserving sun beds. They move towels and gowns if left in place for a while. It does allow you to try the various seating areas. It's cosy but does not feel overcrowd. The day went by quickly with so many rooms to try and the treatments. Dinner for the second 2 nights were in the Bistro which has the same many but with a relaxed setting. It's the people who make or break a hotel, venue etc and all the staff I encountered were exceptional. Nothing was too much and there was always a friendly smile and warm welcome. I will be returning soon, it was so nice.

What an amazing experience. This is the second time myself and niece have stayed here and we will be back. The hotel itself is beautiful, lovely room, very clean and furnished beautifully. The evening meal was delicious- excellent choice for vegans- staff couldn’t do enough to make sure I was happy with the choices. The breakfast was also delicious- again excellent choices- good quality food. The staff were amazing- all genuinely friendly and chatty. We sat in the bar after dinner and felt very relaxed. The decor, furnishings atmosphere was perfect. We had a spa day split over two days. The spa was incredible- the best spa experience I have had. Excellent facilities. We really loved having a “Spa Butler” sipping a gin and tonic by the pool or lounging on the day bed was lovely. Neil was an excellent butler- very friendly- couldn’t do enough for us. The lunch in the spa was delicious- beautifully presented. everything was top quality and well thought out, very professional. We felt very special! We live it!!
