We were initially allocated 331 which was in another block and had twin beds, so we swapped to room 301 which was double and we weren't disappointed. It was a clean and spacious, comfy bed .Great to have a ettle, fridge and coffee machine :-) Large walk in shower with constant hot water. Large wardrobe, plenty of storage. We had a 2nd door onto a corridor to other rooms, there was windows in this wall but by opening curtains people on corridor could look in. Only downside no natural light. Relatives across corridor in room 305 had full wall of windows for day light. Breakfast was good choice and plentiful. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Located with walking access to everything. Would stay here again and recommend

This hotel has a lot going for it, but it's held back by the fit and finish of many of the hotel's spaces. Overall, the hotel just feels dated. The red carpet in all of the halls is faded and stained, the wood floor in the room had a lot of damage, and the spa is way past its prime. On a positive note, the furniture in the room has been updated recently and the pieces were nice plus I found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, breakfast was really good! The service at the hotel was also great. But that spa, ugh. It's a perk of being a gold/diamond member, but the spa is just not in good condition. Most urgently, something needs to be done about the steam room, it smelled awful while we were there and even made other parts of the spa smell. But overall, the spa was just not in good shape with damage everywhere. Also, the location of this hotel isn't great if you're looking to explore Reykjavik but, if like us, you want somewhere with free parking for you to explore the rest of Iceland, then this is a great location for you.

Hotel staff are lovely and very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable. Food is terrific and the lobby is impressive.

Hôtel situé à 7 km de l'aéroport international dans la zone des hôtels et loueurs de voitures locaux (à côté de My Car loueur beaucoup moins cher que les ”grands” et proposant des véhicules neufs du même type). Calme, propre et excellent petit déjeuner. Les chambres sont grandes et les literies très confortables. Si vol tardif, prévoir un taxi pour y aller au départ de l'aéroport car leur navette ne circule pas tard le soir. Accueil 24/24

I’m trying to write a balanced review … so here goes … Benefits: Location Clean rooms L’OR coffee machine … but there is a but later on …. Nice chocolate offered on check in but just slapped into my hand! 2 x bottles of water offered again just dumped into my hand no here we are complementary snacks and water on behalf of Canopy Hilton … I found this level of service not good. Set backs: Diamond member - remember a serious amount of money spent at Hilton brand hotels and extreme loyalty to the Hilton brand - No upgrade offered, but suites still Showing on Hilton app for entire stay and on booking.com Canopy Hilton might have shown the same commitment back to top tier members loyalty and in-fact a poor attitude and extremely lacking in customer service on front desk I would say 8/10 times during stay. No milk for L’OR coffee machine only creamer!! No milk for tea in room Poor bathroom amenities no shower cap, no toothbrushes, no razors etc had to ask not great! Housekeeping said they had none … asked at front desk and the Hilton colleague opened a draw full of amenities!!! Making guests go down to reception to beg instead of just providing in room!!! Demonstrates Poor customer service. Then to be told we may not have orange socks or shower caps we may have run out … surely at a top rated brand hotel there is stock take and orders are placed in a timely fashion! Not impressive from Canopy Hilton at all. No orange socks in room, but left bathrobes again poor customer service. No welcome to Canopy Hilton thank you for being a diamond member …. Again poor customer service not recognizing loyalty. No executive lounge - no drinks vouchers given to diamond members as in other Hiltons - seems mean and lacking in customer service. All in all as a diamond member felt a little let down after really looking forward to my trip especially at this brand of Hilton in a great location. Feels run by people who either haven’t been trained adequately, they have no commitment to the Hilton brand or simply just have no idea about hospitality.

L'hôtel est situé sur la longue avenue Laugavegur et son activité commerçante et touristique, proche des principaux sites à visiter et à quelques minutes d'une longue promenade en bord de mer, à faire à pieds ou à vélo, pour voir le Voyageur, l'opéra et surtout tenter sa chance à la chasse aux aurores boréales sans faire des heures de route en pleine nuit (perso, j'ai eu cette chance d'en voir). Personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins pour régler les petits tracas du quotidien (un coffre coincé, une ampoule grillée, etc.). Petit déjeuner copieux et de qualité : bonnes viennoiseries, EXCELLENT pain, oeufs brouillés, bacon, fruits et... le petit verre d'une huile de poisson très odorante pour se donner du courage pour affronter le froid de l'hiver. Seuls bémols : chambres supérieures exiguës, un éclairage de la chambre insuffisant (dommage quand on sait que les nuits islandaises sont longues), pas de balcon et une isolation des chambres à la limite de l'acceptable (pour les sensibles du sommeil) Bon hôtel pour découvrir la vile.

Les chambres étaient propres, chaudes et délicieuses, avec des installations de café et une réfrigérateur. La salle de bain était propre et l'eau était toujours chaude, grand après un long jour de sortie. Tous les personnels étaient merveilleux. Super ami et utile. Le petit déjeuner était abondant. L'emplacement est excellent.

Bon hôtel, très propre et pratique. Suffisant pour 2-3 nuits à Reykjavik. Prévoir 15-20 min de marche pour rejoindre le centre ville à pied mais le long de la mer cela reste agréable. Petit déjeuner complet, pas un choix immense mais suffisant. Bon rapport qualité prix.

The guesthouse itself was nice enough. Note that if you stay in one of the economy rooms, you will only have access to one bathroom per 5 rooms (unless you are willing to walk back to the main house and use one of the bathrooms there). This was not an issue during my stay, but I woke up super early to avoid it becoming an issue. The real issue for me was the lack of communication. I ended up needing to spend an extra 50 dollars on long distance calls because this business failed to check their email or Facebook messages. On top of that, I had to call twice because I was given incorrect information the first time. Note that booking this property is a risk if you book through a third party (Expedia etc) because you may not receive the email with instructions on how to check in (this is why I had to call repeatedly after they failed to answer my emails).

Les chambres étaient très moyennes et petites. Les salles de bains étaient petites, surtout la douche. Mais voici ce qui m'a ennuyé le plus. Nous avons acheté des billets de bus le premier jour de voyage à Hlemmur (centre). Le chef de bureau Mikaela nous a aidé à y arriver, mais il a payé deux fois ma carte de crédit pour cette transaction. Quelques jours plus tard, je lui ai demandé s'il y avait des mises à jour, car je vois encore que le double prélèvement sur ma carte de crédit et aucun crédit n'a encore été délivré. Elle n'a jamais fait ça. Une journée plus tard, j'ai parlé à un autre avocat de la table devant qui a dit qu'ils allaient me rejoindre. C'était la dernière fois que j'ai entendu parler de cela. Je suis de retour aux États-Unis et il n'y a pas encore de crédit pour cette double taxe. Je suis profondément déçu de leur manque de souci de résoudre mon problème créé par leur négligence.
