Hôtels près de Kristallmuseum, Riedenburg

.... war eigentlich bei unserer kürzesten Etappe einen erholsamen Tag im angepriesenen SPA-Bereich des DORMERO zu verbringen. Das dies möglich sei, wurde uns auch nach telefonischer Nachfrage bestätigt. Nur aus diesem Grund haben wir uns für dieses Hotel entschieden. Beim Einchecken wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass der Saunabereich schon seit längerem nicht mehr zur Verfügung steht und dies auch noch einige Zeit so sein wird. Der Herr an der Rezeption war zwar sehr freundlich, kam uns aber in kleinster Weise entgegen. Nun ja, auch die Zimmer sind definitiv keine 4 Sterne wert..... Insgesamt abgewohnt - Garderobe nicht mehr an der Wand befestigt, sondern steht an einem Stuhl, Kühlschrank versifft, Schreibtischplatte total abgenutzt, im Gang Taschenlampen an den Lampen (?), Duschablage nur noch mit einen Dübel an der Wand...... Auch das die Rezeption nur nachmittags besetzt ist, fanden wir bei einem Hotel dieser Größe sehr seltsam. Kurzum: Wer Geld für 4 Sterne verlangt, sollte auch 4 Sterne bieten!

L'hôtel est situé à proximité des Alpes, à l'extrême arrêt de notre chemin vers notre destination de ski. Le restaurant propose de grandes plats allemands comme ”Schnitzel” et de grandes verres de bière à un prix très raisonnable. Il est également possible de prendre votre dîner avec vous dans votre chambre. Vous pouvez facilement arriver tard et voyager avec des enfants. Le personnel est amical et ils proposent un petit déjeuner buffet de matin avec beaucoup de choix et un café superbe ! Ensuite, il y a un chargeur FastNed à 900 m de l'hôtel. Grand pour le toping pour le voyage des jours prochains! Au point de prix ils chargent; cinq étoiles tout le long!

Nach einer Panne und Werkstattwechsel sind wir in diesem Hotel eingecheckt. Das Hotel ist sauber und neu. Der Empfang an der Rezeption sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer ausreichend groß und sauber. Leider konnte man nur 1 Fenster ankippen und das 2. Überhaupt nicht öffnen. Daher war es auch hier sehr warm. Es gab zwar eine Klimaanlage, aber mit kind will man die auch nicht laufen lassen, wenn man drin ist. Das Bettzeug war auch sehr warm. Im Zimmerpreis war das Frühstück inkl.. und hier wurden wir sehr positiv überrascht, das hätten wir für den Preis nicht erwartet. Das war sehr lecker und das Personal wieder sehr freundlich. Wir durften auch 1h länger im Zimmer bleiben wie eigentlich, somit war die Zeit bis das Auto repariert war nicht all zu lang. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen.

I spent one night here on my way from North Germany to Italy. It is just a few hundred meters from the highway. I make the trip often and have tried many different hotels and motels along the route. Although Block was slightly (but only slightly) more than I usually spend, it was most definitely worth it. The (standard double) room, while not vast, was certainly not cramped. And the room layout was extremely well thought-out, unlike many places where, when you sit at the desk, you can feel the bed pressing into your back, or you have to squeeze sideways to get past the wardrobe. Here, you could move around freely. The bathroom was also roomy, with a large walk-in shower. The room has a mini-bar (which I didn't use) and a coffee maker (which I did). The common spaces are also nicely appointed and well thought out in terms of flow. There is a large garden terrace and a smaller terrace off the breakfast room. As I am covid-cautious, I sat and ate outside, which was not a problem. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant in the hotel. But they provide you with a list of nearby places to eat. Or you can opt for what they called ” bar snacks”, either pizza or a salad. I had the salad, which was the size of a main course and tasted good. The bar has a nice selection of wines. As compensation for no evening restaurant, the breakfast was killer. A vast variety of hot foods, both sweet and savory, and good quality cold cuts and juices. (And, yes, a muesli bar, which I saw out of the corner of my eye ;-)) Both the common spaces and the room/bathroom were spotless and seemed well-maintained. All the personnel, from reception to bartender, were friendly and professional. As others have mentioned, you can hear the highway a bit in the outdoor spaces and if you open the window in your room. So if you are highly noise-sensitive, probably not the place for you. Otherwise, I recommend it.
