Upon arrival I was disappointed by the state of the room I was given. Everything looks and feels so tired and worn, even the paint on the walls seems overdue for a refresher. The first night I booked a table at the restaurant at the reception and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal I ate there - it was excellent. The next day I was surprised to learn that as a staying guest you are not necessarily guaranteed a table at the restaurant. They simply couldn't accommodate me that evening. Why wasn't I told this could be an issue the first night, then I could at least have made reservations in advance or found an alternative place to dine. Now I sit here, at a four star hotel, writing this review, instead of having dinner, and when I finish this I have no choice but to drive into town for a pizza, all the while wondering if I should just go ahead and find another hotel near by for the last night of my stay in Ringsted. Thank you for that experience Soerup Herreegaard.
