Avis : Howard Johnson by Wyndham Romulus Detroit Metro Airport

I recently traveled through Detroit and had a layover. The hotel was very close to the airport and the shuttle was very prompt and convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful in locating a place to eat dinner, Bob Evans restaurant was very close. I enjoyed the stay for a short layover. Would choose again.

This is a good airport hotel for staying near the airport. There's a good shuttle service and people are extremely nice in the reception. There are some limited food choices around the hotel, but there are both restaurants and macdonalds. Room is ok, not too fancy. There's a fridge and a microwave and .you can buy microwave food from a gas station nearby. Remember this is a 2 star hotel. Breakfast is simple, but ok.

The hotel staff were kind enough to help with my poor English, and the shuttle bus was helpful cause the shuttle bus is on demand it doesn't have any limiting time

This hotel stole my money. when i did check-in, They said I had to pay $50 for deposit. so I paid with my credit card. However, I checked later and found that $112.3 was paid 20 seconds before $50 was paid. I complained about this, but they didn't offer any solutions. They just said they didn't know why it happened. $50 was refunded, but $112.3 was not. I'm currently having a hard time resolving this issue with Trip.com and the credit card company. can I ever get my money back from these thieves? maybe, i don't think so.

Terrible service, vending machines didn’t work. They gave me the wrong room keys. Waited a long time for the shuttle.

The rooms amenities could be better. I left my wallet at the room. But i got to know my wallet was not with me until i reached the airport. Later i called and they said it isn’t there. I am not blaming, but i am 90% sure it was there.

Good for the price paid. Was allowed to check in a bit early. Room better than red roof. Towels could be newer. Bed sheets, pillow covers could be starch ironed. Deeper cleaning of the bathroom would be great. Internet didnt work well. Parking lot needs cleaning. Good hotel for the Detroit area.
