Craven Garth Cottages

We cannot recommend Craven Garth Cottages enough! We stayed here with our families, bridesmaids and groomsmen for our wedding at Danby Castle (about 20 mins away) and everything was beyond our expectations! Everyone was so pleased with their cottages which were clean, had all the needed amenities and even had lovely welcome packs. It was amazing being able to find somewhere we could have all of our wedding party together. The location and setting was beautiful, everyone couldn’t get over it! There is also a beautiful garden area which Jeremy gave us permission to have a BBQ the day after our wedding to extend the celebrations, even with additional guests who weren’t staying at the cottages, which was amazing and we really appreciated! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage we said in for 4 nights. Lovely touch with the bread, milk jam and orange juice provided. The cottage was perfect and the views were stunning. Lots of walks from the cottage, peaceful and quiet. Very helpful friendly staff, I didn't want to leave. I honestly could not fault it.

From communication to hosting and customer service our hosts Jeremy and Caroline excelled! They couldn’t have done more for us to make our stay more comfortable. The cottages are warm, cosy, well equipped with plenty of hot water. Decent sofas and good mattresses with the right amount of seating per cottage to serve the number of guests. The bedding was clean and new and the cottages in general were very clean. The welcome pack was so comprehensive and thoughtful with milk, bread, butter, orange juice, tea, coffee, jam and marmalade supplied. Plenty of washing up liquid, hand soap, tea towels and lovely quality bath /hand towels supplied. Some cottages had a dishwasher and some had a washing machine. If you require specifics, just ask Jeremy to identify which cottage would work best for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Craven Garth Farm Cottages. We are a group of friends, with kids age 6-15 and 3 dogs between us. We rented 6 cottages so that we could spread out. We could’ve easily done that with 5 cottages but we wanted exclusive use of the garden and didn’t wish to annoy any other guests during our stay so elected to rent all 6 cottages. We are so glad we did that as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves and we weren’t worried about our dogs annoying anyone and kids roaming and playing noisily didn’t affect anyone. The viewings and setting are breathtaking. It’s incredibly peaceful and beautiful with lots of great walks from the doorstep. We intend to return and heartily recommend to anyone wanting a true rural Yorkshire getaway with outstanding hospitality.

Lovely apartment - part of a typical English terraced house - in a stunning location on a working farm. Cozy, comfortable, clean, and very quiet with everything we needed - including the comfiest bed I had on a monthlong, multi-location trip! The owners know the area well and are kind and helpful. This is the authentic North Yorkshire experience and is close to the National Park, several small villages, and the coast. Can’t wait to go back!

The cottage is beautifully presented, however it was the 'little touches' that made the experience exceptional. Milk and juice in the fridge, fire wood at the ready and a breakfast food, taking away any stress of a late arrival. I can't recommend these cottages high enough, and if you are new to this part of North Yorkshire, then get it on your bucket list and it is a stunning part of the world to spend some time.

A well run venue situated in stunning countryside. The cottages are well equipped and consideration has been given to anything one might need for your outdoor adventures. The owner, Jeremy, is on hand for help and local advice and is genuinely cares for his visitors. Thank you again for your hospitality. I’ll certainly be back!
