Hôtels proches de National Forestry Herbarium, Rotorua

I'll start with the things I liked. The breakfast buffet. It was nice to have a quick way to get a good breakfast at the hotel. The decorating in the lobby was very nice. Now the not to nice parts: The room was cramped with 2 queen-sized beds. (Though it did have a refrigerator and kettle.) I opened the curtains to be surprised by shredded sheers. The wi-fi was very poor. The access is not handicap accessible. The front steps did not have a railing. The ramp was great for luggage, but would not have accommodated a wheelchair. (I have bad knees and use a cane.) They seems understaffed. A common problem throughout our trip. But the staff was helpful. They acknowledged the torn sheers and have plans to replace them all.

J'aime cet hôtel. Pour être honnête, je n'ai pas beaucoup attendu quand il s'agit d'un hôtel ancien et vintage. Mais quand j'ai entré l'hôtel, j'ai trouvé l'hôtel est très spécial et unique. Oui, il est ancien et vintage mais il est aussi bien entretenu. Pour la chambre, je l'aime parce qu'elle a de grandes fenêtres, y compris la salle de bains et le soleil peut passer par. Pour la location, je l'aime parce qu'il est si proche de l'arrêt central de bus, Eatery Streets et Polynesian Spa. L'hôtel est très confortable et confortable. J'aimerais pouvoir rester dans les hôtels pour quelques couples supplémentaires et profiter de l'atmosphère unique qui y est.

It didn't start well - my room was next to the night gate whose keycard lock is kaput and if it was not closed carefully it closed with a clang. My phone call to the night manager (reception closes early) to change rooms was ignored. But next morning the front desk staff was most helpful in changing my room to a quieter one. Avoid rooms 11 and 12 if you can. The hostel itself is modern, well set up and well located. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The dorms are small but the ensuite facilities are good. The bunks are comfortable and come with a reading light and privacy curtains. The hostel is located a few blocks from the tourist center around the lake shore and from the supermarket in the Central Mall. It is also just across the road from Kuirau Park, a geothermal area in the heart of Rotorua. Relax and soak your feet in the thermal footbath. Parking was not a problem. Haupapa Street outside the hostel has metered parking from 9 to 5 Mon to Fri and 9 to 12 Sat. Outside those hours parking is free and unrestricted. Across Ranolf Street on the edge of Kuirau Park there is unrestricted free parking at all times - get in early to claim a spot. Hostel staff also told me that they have off-street parking for $15 a night. Security is not great - the broken gate lock means that the common areas are open to anyone, but the rooms are secured by keycard locks.

The kitchen was impressive (huge, clean, well equipped), the room was warm (there's a heater) and the shared bathroom and toilets were clean, though the sinks are a bit small but still usable. The curtains are a bit see-through, it won't be making the room completely dark (+ light from the corridor through the door) but it isn't too bad. If you're sensitive to noises, we could hear a bit of traffic in the evening but not so much at night. Since we're in june, the traffic ain't much and the neighborhood was overall really calm.

We just had an amazing 5 day stay! We had a family group of 8 (multi-generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins were perfect, with comfy beds, nice linen, small kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom. The communal areas were lovely and clean and well equipped. Nice communal lounge with a fire place. The big pool was heated and the thermal hot pools were awesome! Kids had fun on the trikes and the bouncing pillow. The staff were very helpful, the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Thanks Tasman Bay!

The positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

En principe, c'est un service d'auto-assistance, la piscine est grande, en fait très petite, ne peut pas être utilisée. La maison de la chaussée est plus propre, la sortie est le lac, vous pouvez voir le ciel noir

Was one if the cheaper options for our dates, we were pleasantly surprised. It looked and smelt new, had elevators to our floor. Room was small but practical, had fridge and jug. Bed was a double and quite small and for some reason seemed short but we slept OK. Very clean and well kept. Had small full length widow that looked into small atrium of the other rooms. Only negative was when the toilet was flushed, a sewerage smell came up through the drain. Easy parking, bottle store and restaurant on site but didnt use. Situated almost opposite luge. Had a car so location to town was not an issue, however, there were fast food outlets within walking distance that we noticed anyway. Overall, was good for our needs and would stay again.

很多人來藍湖都是開着房車拉着遊艇來的，藍湖的景色不必多説看圖，坐湖邊牙齒和頭皮都放鬆了。度假村分帶獨立衞生間和公用衞生間/浴室的。大多數都是當地人來水上運動和游泳/露營的，中國遊客很少。建議1-3月帶游泳圈或沖浪板來。周圍沒什麼餐廳，我們背了方便麪西紅柿來的，幾天後吃完了就打車10分鐘到旁邊Terawera湖邊的Landing Cafe去吃東西，艷陽天湖灘很熱鬧，都是孩子還有成人帶着狗🐶過來玩兒水，湖水清澈見底，對面是火山，可以搭訕讓當地有遊艇的人開到火山腳下的熱水灘泡温泉♨️。

Nous sommes arrivés dans ce magnifique endroit en réservant accidentellement la dernière minute pendant nos voyages à NZ, si chanceux ! et nous avons décidé de réserver une nuit supplémentaire parce que nous l'aimions tant ! Danny et Mable sont les plus agréables hôtes qui nous ont aidé à planifier nos activités et nous ont détruits. Le petit déjeuner est absolument étonnant : Mabel fait de belles créations avec des plats de fruits et délicieux avec des produits locaux, des avocats et des fleurs de son propre jardin. Leur contact personnel fait de cette B&B une hauteur absolue et nous vous recommandons de rester si vous avez la chance.
