Hôtels près de Volkstuinvereniging ＂The Farm＂, Rotterdam

Just one quick night at this property, but it was clean, quiet, and met my needs. There were many nearby restaurants, a gas station, etc., and it is also close to the Rotterdam airport. I liked it better than staying in downtown Rotterdam, as the traffic and parking were much easier. Still close drive to downtown, though. Free parking was a big plus for me.

Nous y sommes allée deux fois. Premier séjour en janvier avec groupon. Chambre au dernier étage avec un angle de vue magnifique. Lit queen size, Malgré que l'o' à pensé que c'était un king size car très grand. Petit dej et parking gratuit Propreté impeccable. Le hic, le chauffage. O' en sais pas vraiment comment il fonctionne ! Deuxième fois Réservé avec booking. Le parking gratuit était mentionné dans l'offre. A notre arrivé, ils nous ont spécifié que non. A force d'insister, ils ont fini par nous laisser prendre place dans le parking gratuitement. Chambre dans les étages. Plus petite. Et u'e vue tout autre... Nous n'avons toujours pas compris pourquoi une telle différence car l'intitulé des deux offres étaient identiques. Peut être avons nous été surclasser la première fois !?! Je recommande tous de même mais tous dépendra du tarif de la nuité car pour un prix identique nous n'avons pas eu la même chose

Never again. We came here for a quick drink and something to eat because we were stuck in traffic on our way to Utrecht. I have been going to van der Valk hotels for years. We have dined or stayed at several this week alone such as Dordrecht, Blijdorp and de Bilt. As such I am used to a specific level of service at van der Valk establishments. This one did not deliver. We waited a long time to be seated. Once the bartender saw that none of the young serving staff were going to seat us, he took it upon himself and served us our drinks and took our order. We would have liked some coffee afterwards, but the serving staff completely ignored us. We therefore decided to forego coffee and pay. A young lady came to clear our table and I asked her for the bill. She said she’d bring it right after she brought our plates to the kitchen. Unfortunately, one of the young male receptionists decided to take his break at a table at the far end of the restaurant right as she came out of the kitchen, and she decided that sitting at the table and flirting with him was more important. None of the other staff were anywhere to be seen. She finally decided to get back to work 20 minutes later. I got up and walked to the bar where all the serving staff were now standing and asked for the bill, again. I then got a snarky answer from one of the male servers that his colleague was currently printing it. I replied that she had been “printing it” at the table at the far end of the restaurant for the last 20 minutes and that I was done waiting for it. It took another 5 minutes and the same young male server ended up bringing us the bill. She did not have the courage nor the decency to own up to her mistake and apologize in person. Instead, she sent out a colleague to possibly take the heat from dissatisfied customers for her rudeness. When we left, all of the serving staff had made themselves scarce. I am sure other customers would have just left without paying instead of waiting a total of 25 minutes for the bill. As said in the beginning, I will not be visiting this particular van der Valk again. There are others close by with much better service that this young staff should take as an example!

Séjour désagréable Arrivés à 18h, on nous dit il faut attendre 15m que l'on prépare votre chambre ! Literie dénoncée Odeur de vieux tabac dans les couloir, une horreur Nous arrivons à 2155 au restaurant, on nous demande de patienter, en effet le serveur est occupé avec des tâches sur son ordinateur, à 2205 un responsable Arrive, (le serveur alors, toujours occupé sur son ordi ) Le responsable nous demande ce qu'il peut faire pour nous, on lui demande une table, il nous répond désolé le restaurant ferme à 22heures précises !!! Petit déjeuner, belle présentation et beau choix varié En revanche tout s'écroule un peu quand on observe la responsable affairés à ranger les pains et pains tranchés à pleines mains SANS gants !!! J'allais oublier, le WiFi ne fonctionnait pas Le lendemain matin

The hotel is located next to the city center but it was still very easy to arrive by car, too (however, hotel guests don't get any discount if they park their cars to the parking garage under the hotel). The room was really spacious and offered really nice view over the roofs of Gouda. However, the bathroom was weird as... there wasn't any! There was a sink next to the garderobe and the shower was in a small recess next to it - there was no door of any kind in the shower! It was ok with small kids but many families could find it a bit uncomfortable with teenagers...? Fortunately the water closet was in a small Spartan room of its own... The breakfast was ok but I certainly expected a bit more with this price. Like bigger selection of fruits and maybe some fish...

Très proche de l'aéroport, le lieu est vraiment très pratique. Les passagers qui souhaitent passer le trajet de la première voie peuvent venir ici d'abord. Mais le bureau n'est pas propre pendant la période de séjour, l'hygiène doit être renforcée. Le reste est bien performant.

L'enfant et moi étions à la vue d'une université aux Pays-Bas. Nous étions donc restés pendant 3 nuits. Nous étions un peu inquiets pour la sécurité et le bruit en raison de notre seule activité, etc. mais nous n'avions pas besoin d'être. Nous étions au dessus du sol jusqu'à ce que la rue soit. Nous n'avons jamais été insécurisés. La douche était très bonne. L'équipe était extrêmement gentille. Pas de soucis de sécurité. Ils avaient un sèche-linge qui était très pratique. Nous sommes allés à la nuit de la musique qu'ils avaient et il était très gentil. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner un des jours et nous avons trouvé une bonne valeur. Le lieu était propre. Les sèche-cheveux ne fonctionnaient pas mal. Mais autrement, aucun autre problème.

The hotel was in such a derelict site if this was in Australia they would not have been allowed to trade. The rooms had bad air conditioning that was faulty, the showers had water that dribbled and didn't even allow you to shampoo your fair but worst of all was the hotel itself. it was a building construction site. The main entrance was not open and you entered where there was scaffolding construction and a back trades entrance. There was no food at the hotel, no restaurant, and the entire building had wires hanging down everywhere. The floor was uneven and a match-up of concrete and timber was placed over whatever was underneath this. Construction noise went on all day and there was nowhere to escape this. we stayed at the hotel during a conference and there was nowhere else for us to go and we felt like prisoners being forced to stay at this hotel. We spoke to management who didn't care and just shrugged. We asked Expedia to help and they complained and the hotel refused to refund. The only thing they did was give us a terrible breakfast delivered by a delivery driver on one morning that was inedible. Still, now we are fighting for compensation for the unsafe conditions and poor management. When we tried to take photos to have evidence to show Expedia then there were staff available that were not there before, telling us not to take photos as that is a breach of their privacy. We have booked for the conference again next year but warn everyone if you stay at this hotel not only is it bad or non-existent service but the manager really couldn't care less and the owners of the hotel who the manager always referred to did nothing. I hope they like the negative feedback. The hotel and the guests were the joke of the conference. There was no warning that the hotel was under construction and they never should have accepted bookings when the hotel was not safe to stay at, there was no food on sight. In fact the only comment on the website was that the hotel restaurant was not taking bookings until after 15 May. Surely simple english would have been there are no dining facilities nor any room service at this hotel. They also should have advised of renovations and construction and then we could have looked at another option prior to arriving. Everyone complained and the hotel staff didnt do anything at all. In fact I thought they were joking when I checked out and the comment the staff member said with a smile? was did you enjoy your stay? I thought this was their way of being humorous but unfortunately I think they were serious. Enjoy our stay I dont think so who could ever. totally unconscionable behaviour by management at the hotel. They dont care.

Great stay - my first time staying in a hostel and I really enjoyed the experience. Everything is very modern and convenient. The location is great and walking distance from lots of tourist attractions and yummy food spots. The hostel is situated in a very vibrant community area, so it can get quite noisy but once you’re inside your hub you don’t hear anything! The hubs themselves are cute and the bed is super spacious - you get the option of a bottom or top hub, I recommend a top hub if you want to feel slightly more comfortable. The hubs have Bluetooth speakers, an app to control lighting and to speak to the host for any issues. My hub was clean but not as clean as I thought it would be, there were some marks on the side, random hairs and the air-con vent was very very dusty. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. You have a wristband that allows you to charge things to your hub, lock up your belongings and open your hub door which I thought was very handy! I really enjoyed my stay and it was a great first hostel experience, would definitely stay with CityHub again as it was a bargain!
