Protur Badí­a Park Aparthotel

We have had a wonderful holiday at this hotel, we don’t want to go home! The staff here cannot do enough for you, from reception to bar staff to housekeeping and those in the restaurants constantly smiling and work so hard. My husband is gf and when he asked for an alternative the chef brought a gf dessert to the table, excellent customer service. The food is good, lots of choice at the AI main restaurant, all I would say is it’s not as hot as I would like it but that’s inevitable with AI. The continental breakfast could offer a little more, it’s very basic. Our room was lovely, clean and everything we needed, hairdryer is a good one so no need to bring one. The pool area is clean and always easy to get a sunbed never had a problem with that. We hired bikes from the hotel, you just leave a deposit and take the bike for the day we had a lovely bike ride up the coast to Cala bona, wonderful sea views. Definitely walk up to the castle it’s a lovely walk and lovely views when you get there. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it’s gorgeous. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars close by and also a bus stop right outside if you want to venture a little further. Honestly we have stayed a week and do not want to leave, I would 100% recommend this place for families, especially with small children but even those a little older as there is just a great family atmosphere. We didn’t see much of the evening entertainment as we were out and about but we managed to catch the soul duo and they were brill, had everyone up dancing. All in all this place is good value for money, you will find it hard not to enjoy it here! We would definitely come back again! Thanks badia park for a great holiday.

I visited Protur Badia Aparthotel at the start of October and stayed for a week. We arrived around 13:00 and our room was ready. The room was clean, had air conditioning and was a good size. It had a fridge, microwave and a safety box, it didn't have a kettle, which us British people do like, but it really wasn't a problem. The hotel was great, we always found somewhere to sit for our meals and evening entertainment. The food and drinks provided were good/OK. For the evening meals they always had a themed dinner and then a standard dinner, which changed everyday. Personally I thought the food was ok (my husband thought it was amazing) but I thought it was a bit bland and predictable, none of the dishes blew my taste buds, but I understand that we weren't eating at a Michelin star restaurant. There were cold drink and coffee machines, where you could get a drink throughout the day. The pool was a great size with lots of sunbeds, there are signs which stated that no one could use the sunbeds till 09:00 and we never had a problem. There is the main pool, baby pool and mini kids splash pool at the hotel, but you also have access to a bigger splash pool which I would recommend. My only negative comment would be that the pools, including the children's and splash pools, were really cold. I only swam in the hotel pool once due to this. Our son who is 1.5 years old didn't like pools and he would only walk up to his ankles ! We went to the beach which is a 5 minute walk and I found the sea water warmer than the pools. This isn't a negative comment, just feedback. We knew before we arrived, that the hotel is primarily catered for German guests. This didn't affect our holiday at all, the children's disco which lasts 30 minutes isn't done in English, but we couldn't care less and neither could our son as he was busy dancing. Also the entertainment stopped at 10. The only reason why I wouldn't stay again, would be the cold pools, other than that good hotel, amazing staff and ok food.

Lovely clean hotel with nice food . However not a hotel for couples , it was full of very young children and hardly any English . Meal times were like a crèche and chaos . Entertainment poor , all for children and finished by 10 pm . Rooms clean and spacious. If you have a family it’s a perfect hotel but not for couples

Family of six, 4 adults and 2 children split over 3 rooms. Hotel is clean but could do with a paint in areas. Rooms – Clean, spacious, lovely bathrooms with English channels on TV, BBC, ITV, E4, Film 4 plus a couple more about 15 in total. Beds comfy, pillows ok AC great. Had a fridge and microwave but no kettle, cups etc. Pool – pool area clean, pool was lovely, cold when you first got in but beautiful once you had dunked yourself under. never had any issues getting beds all together was plenty to go around. drinks available around the pool in paper cups. Food – poor, very poor. We did manage to eat something every night but most was over cooked and bland. Not much choice. At the end of the holiday we realized that the salad section had been left out what looked like all night, I hope it wasn’t served the following day! Location – Great family area, beach was amazing sea was really calm the 1st time we went down the other days where a little choppy but still safe for little ones and big ones to jump the waves and if you can walk out quite far with the sea only reaching your chest. Great restaurant across the road a Stake house meal was 5* and well-priced. Overall our holiday was OK but I think the £7500 spent for a week was high for a hotel that shouldn’t be rated more than a 3* when you only had around 4 meal choices to chose from and drank out of paper cups. No nice coffees just out of the machine. Staff occasionally greeted you but mostly pretended they couldn’t understand you or just looked through you. Entertainment on the evening was good but if you have young children then the Kids entertainment is all in Spanish and German. If you try to use the loos in reception at night time or early morning take a torch as the lights dont work! and if you check out early in the morning forget breakfast you can get a drink and if your lucky maybe make a sandwich from the left overs from the night before. We stayed at another Protur Hotel last year that had an inside bar that served beautiful coffees and branded drinks, hotel felt luxuries. Staff were amazing and greeted and welcomed you, pool side food was amazing with plenty to choose from all day long. Breakfast and evening meals were all excellent too with amazing choices, mini frige with branded soft drinks and water, topped up daily so with the other hotel to compare it too the Protur badia park was very poor in comparison

Stayed for one week 8 adults and four children . Staff were very friendly & espy the animation team (our kids loved the kids club & mini disco. Rooms were spotless and the bedding and towels were refreshed 6 days out of 7. The food was plentiful we was all inclusive and the evening meal was show cooking with a themed dish most nights . We visited La Reserva water park 2 days at the back of the hotel which is discounted for guests . We we go back .. Absolutely! Special mention to Isobel in the main restaurant who worked tirelessly and found us a table for 12 most nights . We booked a night at the country grill restaurant in safari park which we enjoyed . Sa Coma is a beautiful resort so flat and everything in walking distance.

Wow what a great hotel, greeted outside with someone to take our bags, check in was so easy our room was all ready for us. A lovely apartment so clean, had the children’s beds made ready and the cot in our room. Extra pillows were also available. Our room overlooked the pool which looked so lovely. Yes the hotel is predominantly German but we were more than happy everyone was so nice and the children’s club entertainers knew a range of languages. The staff all spoke English if we needed help which we did when our air-con stopped working but was fixed within an hour. The food was nice , a lot of variety to cater for all appetites and was available the majority of the time, icecreams available to grab and also drinks to help yourself or there was the bar too. The pools and surrounding areas were so clean and people cleaning them daily. We enjoyed visiting the other places in the resort such as the mini golf (included in the stay) also the water park which you get a discount for. And we also enjoyed the Italian restaurant on the next hotel. Also the beech was a 5-10 min walk depending on the kids speed lots of shops and bars and restaurants and also a supermarket a 3 min walk with everything you need (nappies and swim nappies which is why we went) Thanks for making it a great stay
