Hotel Playa Dorada, Mallorca

Just returned from a beautiful 4 nights stay here. We thought it was lovely. The room we had a big clean and the air con was very welcomed as it was very hot! Stunning sea view. The evening entertainment was ace especially the uptown band. Food was okay definitely something for everyone. We didn't struggle to find something we liked. Staff were polite and helpful. Was a nice atmosphere here. Easy to access the local restaurants, beach, and airport transfers only took 1hr from palma. Was definitely sad to leave. Would definitely recommend the roof terrace for a more quiet chilled sunbathing experience. We didn't see anyone on there during our stay. Overall I'd recommend to others. We stayed 1st floor room 106 and it was lovely.

Forget what else you might read ..this hotel is absolutely great for a 3 star...we were made welcome from the start...its very clean and the staff exceptional...and friendly....all staff from cleaners to receptionist...do a fantastic job and work hard and tirelessly....no complaints whatsoever...definitely worth going back again...a big shout out to Ishmael the barman and joanna who seemed to work each department...both always with a smile ... one of the best holidays we have had... many thanks to everyone at playa dorado..keep it going..

We booked this as a last minute holiday and was overall very happy with our stay. The location was great, just a short walk to both S’Illot & Sa Coma, and located directly on the beach front. Our room was modern and had a great view of the beach front. The only downfall to the room was the bathroom which was a little bit dated. The pool area was nice, and we never struggled for a sunbed and there are plenty of umbrellas. The only problem we thought was you could sit the sunbeds up it was just flat, I would suggest taking a blow up pillow for the pool to make it more comfortable. The drinks were great, there was a choice of cocktails on the all inclusive and we thought all of them were lovely! The bar staff were very friendly. I am a fussy eater so I did struggle with the food some days as it was mainly fish and not always a great variety of food. If you are looking for lots of entertainment/animation it might not be the best choice. There was just water polo at 4, and a mini disco in the evenings. Occasionally there was a band on after and a parrot show once. We would return in future!

The location is perfect,loads of things to do around the local area,the beach to the left of the hotel is one the best I have seen.our room was gorgeous all modern and a check out on the last day 12pm the all inclusive drinks 5* the entertainment was great live bands 3 times a week the only negatives food bit repetitive and no snack bar would definitely return again.

Im on my 3rd day here. Got a 4 day holiday with loveholidays for £250pp all inclusive flights and transfers. The value of this holiday is outstanding. The hotel is kept very clean. Staff very helpful and polite. Our room as pictured. For me and two teenage sons is great however the sofa bed is not comfy its hard. Apart from that the room is perfect. Clean and shower nice and hot. Balcony looks over pool and sea its beautiful. Other balconies are very close so u can meet your neighbours lol. The location of this hotel is perfect. There is a locked door you use your room key from the pool area directly onto the beach. To the right of that there is a cycle hire shop. We have used this twice now. The red cycle path is 12km in total will take you on a lovely safe ride passing many bars and resturants. The first part takes you away from the beach then you come back onto ride along the beach. The beaches are stunning light sand and clear water. Back at the hotel i have found the pool becomes shaded in the afternoon from the hotel. This could be a blessing if boiling hot. However if you want full sun just step onto the beach. The food is adequate and i wouldnt want to eat here for a week just because the only meat i eat is chicken. Its a shame the mixed salads and pizza has ham on them as for vegetarians it is limited. Lunch time i quite often eat poatoes and salad. Its all lovely and fresh. For the price ive paid im happy to eat out aswell. The all inclusive is great for two teenage boys that can eat 2 or 3 plates full and still go out for a pizza 🤣. The bar drinks are great you only get plastics around the pool. Otherwise served in a glass. They have 4 cocktails on tap. Ive tried 3. Love on the beach was strong. Pina colada tequila sunrise delicious. Soft drinks on tap help yourself. They also offer you more than 1 drink at a time. Theres a cute little dance routine about 8.30pm which is good for under 7s they get the kids running about and the outside entertainment area is nice and clean overlooking the pool and beach you can also dine out here. The hotel has a good atmosphere. Plenty of people. Ive not seen any party strip or liveliness so if your young wanting to party i do not recommend you would be disappointed. For young familys and couples wanting a relaxing time its great.
