I stayed at the Park View Hotel and Guest House, Thatto Heath, on Saturday, 22nd June 2024. This is a self-service accommodation with no reception or staff available on-site. The room was dreary and tired, with poor quality décor and bits scattered on the floor. Upon returning at night, I discovered that the bathroom light did not work. The room was located near a main door, meaning residents walked past my window frequently. It was impossible to sleep due to the noise of residents coming in and out through the squeaky main door throughout the early hours of the morning. Additionally, I was bitten during the night. There is a self-checkout system with a box on the wall outside the room. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my handbag in the room with my phone and money when I was checking out. With no staff on-site to assist, I hung around the hotel for approximately 45 minutes before I found a jogger who kindly helped by phoning the number on the hotel door. A member of staff arrived about 10 minutes later and unlocked the room so I could retrieve my belongings. Overall, the room was not worth the price I paid. Without a doubt, this has been my worst hotel experience to date, and I cannot recommend this establishment at all.

Big family room and very clean, friendly staff. Only a few things to note, the travel cot mattress is hard and covered with a blanket which isn’t ideal for babies so maybe wise to bring own mattress. Also the breakfast place is 15 min but can deliver to hotel although may be charged if under £12. Otherwise good value for money.

Travelled back from Perth Scotland and stopped at this hotel to break journey up before heading onto Wales ,what can I say ? Knew it was cheap but my goodness it's not a hotel it's as others have said it's a hostel.On the way to our room we passed what I think was the owners living quarters maybe .Thank god there wasn't breakfast as we saw bedding being dried hanging from the back of the chairs around the dining tables. The room itself on entry knock is for 6 ,the bedding looked dirty ,they were actual grey grubby quilt covers which I wouldn't have even been happy to show Although expect visitors to sleep in . The sofa which was a double had god knows how much much in the crease and the shower base was black with mould as was the tiles. We tried phoning around for vaccancys but failed ,neither if us slept as want sure how clean the bedding actual was .yes it was cheap but so was sky lodge in Scotland but sky lodge was spotless.This place is somewhere people shouldn't stay if they want clean accomodation it's disgraceful ,

My friend, son, and I stayed here at the beginning of the month. When you arrive, you call a number, and a friendly lady helps us access the property via the key safe. We easily found our room. It was clean and tidy, I couldn't find the towels, but the nice lady advised us on where we go to get some. The room was basic, but it was just what we needed. I had a good night's sleep and loved the tea and coffee facilities to make a drink. I would definitely stay here again. No breakfast, but that's OK as there are plenty of food places nearby

Absolutely dreadful. I can't believe such places still exist. It was a hostel not an hotel. Sat on the bed and it's made my skin crawl. It is damp run down and beyond words. I booked a travel lodge down the road. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE

I thought it was ok, beds comfy room tidy and clean came to change our bedding. You don’t see anyone you have to call when you arrive to get your key out a box which isn’t a problem. Only thing is I couldn’t find anywhere you have breakfast which again didn’t bother us we just went somewhere else. I would stay again if needed.

Really non existent place. Booked the hotel online . Got there and couldn’t get in for 3 hours because the door was locked and the number they popped out for customers to call was unreachable. I was really pained cos I had to start looking for another hotel to sleep in that night.

Bitterly disappointing. If I’d have read the other reviews wouldn’t have booked. Booked late due to unexpected need to overnight in Liverpool. It’s not a hotel and not a guest house more a hostel. Entry is via a call to a remote mobile. No staff presence at all. Windows don’t close, radiators don’t work and plaster off the wall in bathroom. We’d booked two rooms and both were equally poor. They were clean as were the towels and linen but it’s a down at heel old Victorian property that lacks investment and completely lacks security and hospitality. Give it a swerve!

I arrived there on the 17 th of Feb 2022 and arrived at the door to fins you need to call a number to get in.The keys mainly fit most doors which means security is lax despite the cameras I didn't feel safe as it was a basic lock.The bathroom had a hole in it and was dirty.The windows didn't shut and so you could hear loud cars all night.It looked a dodgy area.The double bed was broken underneath aswell with basic repairs done to it and to top it off the shower only had like warm water running after 5 minutes.
