Don't book this hotel if your not gonna show up right on the dot at 3pm. They refused our stay because we where late by 30mins and I had called in advance to make sure it was okay and on the phone they where fine with it. But not when we showed up. Leaving me and my three friends on the street trying to find a new hotel because they refused us the two rooms we paid in full for. Saying they could not find my reservation and that we where 30mins late for check-in. Also, the garage is not the best, there is a lot of paint chiping and looks like the garage is very run down needing a lot of TLC.

We arrived for a basketball tournament and were told the hotel is CLOSED! No advanced notice. Had booked room in January. Still was receiving emails touting the place every other day. Currently no recourse for our money because we booked through hotel. I stayed at this place when it was brand new Sheraton 20 years ago. It’s been a steady decline since then with the final degradation resulting in people being turned away at the door. Sad.

Don't be fooled by the pretty facade of this hotel. Once you look closer, everything is gross. I waited nearly 20 minutes to get checked in because the employee was taking his time with everyone. Once it was my turn, I was incredibly uncomfortable by how closely this guy was reading my ID, including talking about how he's "4 months and # days older than me." I was incredibly surprised to learn that, on top of my $200/night cost, there was also a $100 deposit that had to be paid and $25/night parking. Not sure if I missed it, but I don't remember reading about this on their website when I booked. Side note: I used the lobby restroom (which has to be unlocked for me) and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. No toilet paper to be found. The parking garage is confusing and not laid out well. Now on to the room. The walls in the hall were dirty and stained, as were the carpets. The doors all looks like the hasn't been wiped down in ages. The room itself was no better. Immediately we noticed a mildewy smell. More than half of the lights in our room didn't work (including one that was just an exposed wire). One of the beds had stained sheets. There were stains on the floor and other furniture as well. Positives: The room was a decent size and well cooled. And the woman at checkout and the guard on duty were both very nice.

Read all the reviews and the fine print before booking with this St Louis hotel. If you have vision issues, you won’t see the fine print regarding cancellations with the “pay now” feature. They charge you 96% of the room rate if you cancel with them.My mistake costs me $115 of $120! While using my phone, I accidentally selected the day before vs the needed date of our trip. When I received my confirmation, I noticed my error. I immediately contacted OYO to correct the error. I told the rep that I wanted a Saturday booking, not a Friday booking. After 45 minutes and two conversations with the rep and supervisor, the OYO rep not only refused to refund the booking error they wanted me to also pay for the actual needed booking date. They would not simply correct the date!! So, my error cost me $115 even though I called them IMMEDIATELY after seeing the error. Needless to say, I didn’t book for my Saturday date and booked with another hotel. After reading the reviews about the St Louis location, I am glad this issue happened as the reviews were horrible.

This hotel is a nightmare. The room smelled musty and like animal urine. There was no other room to move us to. The couch was absolutely disgusting, old and stained. I was afraid to sit on it. The smell made it really unbearable to sleep in. We checked out after we had been in the room for about 30 minutes at 1230 in the morning and couldn't take it anymore. The only plus is that it's right next to Enterprise Center. Trust me, pay more for a place and skip this one.

Serious bed bug infestation. The employees dismissed us when notified about the situation. They were refusing to refund so we had to go through the booking company instead. It’s impossible to reach management about serious issues. This one night stay cost us thousands to eradicate. Book elsewhere

Unfortunately during our visit, we found the hotel to be dirty and is definitely in need of refurbishment. Although the room was a good size, it smelt foisty and also during our stay the pool was closed.

Great location, friendly staff, helpful concierge, great facilities. Rooms are big and well equipped. I would suggest better cleaning in general. The outside of the entrance is dirty, the lobby carpet is dirty and smells bad. The room smelled dirty and no one cleaned during my whole stay, the gym lacks cleaning, the room toilet had a mal function. If those things are taken care of, it could attract more business.

The website photos made the rooms look very fresh and current. While the room was spacious, it was not at all fresh and current. Furniture was old and showed a lot of wear. There was a nice sitting area - unfortunately... the sofa was old and stained so it was not usable. The carpet was also worn and did not appear clean (also stained). Wallpaper was peeling in the restroom. The restroom area was nice - large jet tub separate from shower, toilet in closed door area away from shower and tub. We like that arrangement. Parking was in a parking garage attached to the hotel. There is a $25.00 fee. On the front desk there is a sign that says if you download an app. you will be credited $25.00. We thought that was in place to absorb the parking fee. But instead it was a credit to be used at a future visit. It was very difficult to navigate the parking garage with a large vehicle. Pets are welcome (with no additional fee!) but parking on the 7th floor made it a little difficult to take dogs out and bring luggage in and out. And, there is no nearby or safe places for dogs to do their business. There is a pool and fitness room available. We didn't use either, but the fitness room has a good amount of choices - free weights, balance board, elliptical, bikes, and treadmill. We noticed that there were many vacancies on the Tuesday evening that we checked in. It would seem that they would offer a better room. This stay had potential but they do not pay attention to details - some which are such an easy fix (like loosening wallpaper). Needs updates and cleanliness.

I stayed at Oyo St Louis from 21st February to 26th February 2023. I am surprised how bad some of the review are. The room I had was very large with a comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Yes The furniture is old fashioned but it was all comfortable and served the purpose. For the price this hotel room more than met my expectations. The receptionist Sharhona Shaw was wonderful from the moment I arrived until I left definately deserves a pay rise lol She was freindly, welcoming and very helpful. The security guard there was also friendly and helpful as was the man who runs the small Cafe within the hotel. I had come from all the way from England on my own to see the local Ice hockey team so the staff being so friendly and helpful was very important to as it was like a different world as its the first time I have travelled in nearly 20 years. I would happily stay there again. Thanks again to Sharhonda and all the other staff. It was a pleasent stay.

I recently stayed at the St. Louis Oyo and was pleasantly surprised after reading so many poor reviews. Yes, it is a historical building so it is going to have its imperfections. However, the room was massive! Two separate rooms, one with two queen beds and the other with a living room with wet bar, fridge, and microwave. Both had flat screens as well. The bath room was clean as well as the bedding. The carpet did have some imperfections and there was a musty odor, but it was nothing we didn’t get use to. The gentlemen in the hotel bar were friendly and the service was great! They even joked with us over being the away team fans. The front desk was friendly as was the security staff. It would be hard to beat the location with the metro link across the street and Enterprise Arena a block away. Plus it was walkable to union station and the arch. The views of the city were also great! It wasn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed at, but I would stay again and it doesn’t deserve the negative reviews.
