Good hotel within walking distance of the town and beaches. Beware mosquitos though - there is a stretch of the walk which you’ll rue if you’re not using insect repellent. Room was fine - a tad more basic and dated than we’re used to - but perfectly functional and had AC which was greatly appreciated. Pool area was very nice and staff were perfectly friendly. We didn’t take the breakfast buffet - we only wanted a simple pain au chocolat for breakfast and so 20 euros a head buffet wasn’t right for us, but plenty of the guests looked happy with it. If you want something more simple in the morning, there’s a bakery on the main road into the village literally a 2 minute walk which did fab fresh breakfast pastries and had simple seating on the roadside. Whilst you’re in town, would heartily recommend hiring e-bikes - the coastal road out past the marshes is stunning and in the right season you’ll be cycling past flamingos.
