Aparthotel Almonsa Platja

This is the first time I have ever wrote a review but felt it was needed after our terrible stay! It was that bad I wouldn’t go back to Salou again. When we got dropped off to check in it was all shut had no idea what to do until we seen a cleaner and said we had to check in down the road 10 mins walk as that reception was shut! But we wasnt made aware of this! The staff were soooo rude and did not want to help us with anything. We had to pay 200 euro deposit and further had to pay for a kettle which you would think would already be available in the self catering apartment. The pool and snack bar area was closed! And it was closed because it was the season and was told I should of rang up to check if the pool was open! It was mainly the staff that were so rude and that’s when you could find someone that actually worked there! Can’t fault the rooms they were nice but that was the only postive

AVOID…Holiday from hell, from start to finish!! On arrival we got dropped in a random location with no real direction to where the hotel was, we couldn’t gain access to the hotel as it’s only key code accessible, a cleaner had to let us in and explain you can’t actually check in here at this hotel and you’d have to walk to the main reception down in the town! No sign or anything to state this. If you anrent very mobile or have a disability, you’d struggle to get here and to the main reception on foot. Arrived at the main reception, staff very rude, talking amongst themselves. You get charged for basically everything, €200 holding deposit incase of damages, €5 for a kettle when it should be a basic facility in a self catered accommodation! Other holiday makers of 2 got charged differently, so seems like they make up the price on the day, €2 for clean towels! We’ve read people’s reviews of them not getting their deposit back and we’re still waiting for ours. Basic advertised facilities were shut- pool, snack bar and bar, barely anyone works here! The pool finally opened on our last day after “days of cleaning” for it to be dirty still, leafs, sticks and fag ends! Rooms smell of drains and sewerage. Staff here are very rude and with no willingness to help or do their job! You just get told “speak to your holiday provider regarding everything you ask! Communication with staff here is disgraceful. Very noisy at night time as the walls are paper thin, the room itself was very modern but as an overall apartment block it needed a lot of work. Wouldn’t recommend if you relaxing holiday as this hotel causes nothing but stress!!

Avoid, we also paid a 200 deposit. Read the reviews and took photos of all the defects i.e stains on the wall etc. the problem was a terrible smell in the apartment and could only stay on the balcony until the smell went after considerable amount of bleach. It was then we noticed the table on the balcony was wobbly and had cracks at the top of three of the legs so we took photos. Anyway they charged us 75 euro for breaking the table. We were furious and sent rentalmar blue beach the images... Unfortunately we were accused of doctoring the images and no refund was issued. Absolute bandits. Thankfully our tour operator understood and issued us a voucher

✅ 1. El apartamento esta muy bien 2. La TV, tiene youtube, netflix etc... 3. Tiene una buena sala de juegos, donde los ganchos estan flojos y mejor no gastar en ellos 4. El ambiente del hotel està muy bien 5. La temperatura dentro 6. El personal era muy bueno, sobretodo un senegales, es muy majo 7. La cocina muy grande 8. Hay 2 habitaciones una en la entrada y una pegada al comedor 9. El piso es mas arriba mejor, donde estuvimos en el 8, te despiertas como un rey con las vistas al mar 10. La almohada muy comóda ❎ 1.Sabanas sucias 2.No hay limpiadores de habitación 3. Te dan 2 toallas contadas, durante toda la estancia, la nuestra fue de 2 noches 4. Recomiendo traer mantas de casa mejor que las sabanas sucias i malas 5. No te dan instrucciones de los elementos de la cocina y te las tienes que buscar tu mismo 6. Un dia, nos levantamos, salimos del hotel sobre las 10, fuimos a Tarragona de compras, volvimos y antes habiamos dejado la ropa, se habia volado toda al hotel de al lado, que salté para buscar-la, faltan pinzas* 7. Las camas, son muy incomodas, la mejor era el sofa, y con la sofacama que habia abajo del sofa podias juntarlas y hacer una buena cama comoda 8. Las puertas no cierran bien y entra el frio 9. Check-In, de ir a una localizacón diferente para hacer el check in i volver a el apartamento y el lio.... 10. La puerta de abajo deberia ser con llave, muchos problemas, porque no hay timbre tampoco
