I stayed for 6 weeks at this lovely setup. This place is a gem of a find out of all gyms I looked into in Thailand and could not be more pleased and satisfied with my choice of coming down here. Located at sam roi yot, which has mountains as well as beaches that make for a scenic view during your early morning runs. This place is 800m from the beach. Sam roi yot itself is a pretty beautiful resort town which lends a unique charm to the location. There's a few local bars as well as restaurants that suffice well, and is devoid of the typical party scene that your would find in big centres like BKK /HuaHin / Phuket. This itself acts as a self selection of the kind of people that come to this place - who are just focused on training and a peaceful environment and maybe work online alongside training. The group of folks that we had during our stay bonded pretty well and were keen to help each other ( me being a beginner). Overall the location was pretty much to my liking and to my vice. The training is structured around a morning and evening sessions. On morning the runs start at 6:30am and the training sessions goes from 7:30am to 9am. There's ample amount of padwork, bagwork as well as light sparring. Evenings sessions are from 4:30pm to 6pm which involve bagwork, sparring, conditioning as well as clinching. This is a perfect place for beginners as well as pros to come to. During my stay there were around 3 instances of folks doing a full fight camp and having pro and amateur fights. You get ample focus and attention from Hin the resident trainer. As well as Michael who stays and helps out there and helps with the translation sometimes if need be. I realized how good the training sessions used to be at 301 only after I went back to BKK and joined some other gyms, where I found the padwork as well as the attentions of the kru to be lacking. There are plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a 7-11 in the town. There's also ample national parks nearby. Pak nam pran and Pranburi are 20 minutes away and HuaHin is 50minutes away, which make for a good weekend getaway. There are AC as well as non AC accommodations in the camp that also has a good pool that makes for a lovely dip post workouts. I also found the wifi to be well sufficient for my remote work and meetings. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe of the camp and the place. The people I ran into were really nice - Michael's weekend barbecues have a special place in my heart. If you are looking for a place to train that is at a resort town , away from the distractions, surrounded by plenty of nature - this is the perfect place to be.
