Camping Castilletes Parque Tayrona

We only stayed for one night at this place and our money was stolen when the room was locked! Another couple had their money stolen from their room too! We thought we would spend a beautiful time in the National Park but our stay was ruined by this theft. Please don't make the same mistake and don't stay at Camping Castilletes also called Tyrona VIP.  Apart from that the breakfast was very poor, just a slice of toast, eggs and a very small coffee. The room was poorly equipped, insects were coming in from outside even though the door and windows were shut. There was no hot or even warm water and the power was constantly cut off. The WiFi reception was very poor and only available at the 'restaurant' and by the pool. The staff were unpleasant to deal with. Not worth £50 per night. I don't recommend it. 

Difficult to know the real story, but the state of disrepair and the lack of consideration for safety of the guests and staff is beyond inbelievable. Just to mention a ew facts during our stay, we had some waps entering the room and not due to broken mosquito nets but because despite knowing at our arrival three days before ( maybe before?) that they had a waps net in the roof but management did not nothing about it. Also for last night we had water in our bedroom due to a roof that needs to be repair. And I pass on the lack of cleanest and food overpriced compared to other parts of the park. The staff trys trying to do their best but management/ owner do not do basic maintenance and charge the same price than nearby places that are in better shape, despite the desvantage to not have a road access like this campsite. My advice looks only at recent reviews and pictures, and nothing else available inside the park, stay outside even if you need to pay the entrance every day. This place save you only 5 minutes on the bus journey.

We arrived and the tent we were asigned was broken and had no sheets. I hurt my foot going to the tent because the person who showed brought us to the tent just left me behind in the dark. Super rude (Henry) and lazy personal in general. Mosquitos (there were a lot) entered the tent. We had a bad night of sleep. Also in the morning we would have woke up at 6 by the heat because they only put a roof over some of the tents which is very necessary in this climate. I said would because at 5.30 one of the employees (henry) started shouting with the song in his headphones and woke up everybody. This is ridículous, he should not work there! The toilet and shower where in very bad shape, old and dirty. Also dont count with any internet. The wifi doesnt work most of the time just like movil data. No effort is put in this (pricy) hostel. Not recommended, there are way more options around in the area.

La habitación no está mal pero esta muy cara para el servicio que tienen. La gente no te ayuda, la comida no es rica, se va la luz todo el día, incluso se fue el agua el segundo día. El personal contesta feo y hasta vi a uno de ellos pegándole una patada a un perro. Son muchos del personal pero se la pasan sentados y no hacen nada, las zonas públicas están sucias. Aparte es muy lejos de las playas del Tayrona, para esa gracia uno se puede quedar en otro hotel más barato y con mejor servicio fuera del parque. No volveré nunca y les recomiendo que no vayan!!...

Muy mal servicio al cliente, desde las recepcionistas hasta las personas de cocina. Pareciera que no les gustará que los turistas estemos ahí. por supuesto no acepté el trato pero no permitimos que eso no arruinara el viaje. El único encanto del lugar es la ubicación que brinda un buen contacto con la naturaleza, volveré al Tayrona pero a este hotel no.

Servicio lamentable , si pueden eviten ir a este camping . Las fotos no tienen nada que ver con la realidad , los colchones del camping los sacan de una casa que no está nada limpia . Me dieron la caseta a las 9 de la noche cuando había sido la primera en llegar , y para colmo el encargado de dar las tiendas de campaña me miraba de arriba a abajo , en un modo bastante intimidánte , asco me da esta gente que aún así me queje en recepción y no hicieron nada . Y no solo eso , no había papel higiénico , ni espejo en los baños ni jabón para las manos . Necesidades básicas en cualquier alojamiento nada más y nada menos que por 20 dólares la noche tienes este servicio mediocre .
