As noted here, the hotel is transitioning from Le Meridien to Hyatt Centric and they are the in the midst of renovation given it's a typical low season now. The rooms have some funky decor but I was upgraded to a corner suite as a Globalist. Despite in a lower floor and facing the entrance, the noise is not bad at all especially the high school next door is in the midst of vacation. The room will change soon so I will not waste too much time in describing it. However it is decent and once they modernize it, it will surely be wonderful. As mentioned here, the hotel is a bit away from the pier and the beachfront so be aware of it. Breakfast is actually wonderful and I prefer how Hyatt Centric deals with it. As a globalist, you are allowed one chilled beverage, one hot beverage and one main dish. It is so much better than the usual buffet, which is often sad here in North America. As I mention, Tracy is definitely the star of the hotel. She is friendly and knowledgeable. She is frank about the renovation going on and sets my expectations in a reasonable manner. If I will return to this area, I will have no issue staying here again.
