Hôtels près de Taller HERTZ, Santiago

We flew into Santiago on an overnight flight and used booking to stay for our first night. Arrived at the airport and needed to WhatsApp the hotel to arrange for a complimentary ride. It’s 10 mins away and the shuttle was new and clean. We attempted to check in a little early @ noon, but we’re told if we wanted to check in before 3PM we would be charged an extra 1/2 day rate. We decided to wait. After having a coffee I spoke to the front desk @ 2PM and they agreed to check us in early (I assume it’s because the hotel was extremely quiet and they had ample space/rooms). The hotel is clean, but quite a ways off the beaten path. Not sure how safe the area is as the hotel is gated with a wire fence and looks desolate and a little prison-like. Also, the hotel seems newer, but the walls are super thin and a little noisy because of this. Breakfast was very good and Lorenzo was helpful at the front desk.

This is based on two stays / two rooms a week apart. This hotel is substantially better than the one at the airport. Bed was comfortable and a/c is strong. Wifi good throughout the hotel. Water pressure excellent, although the water smells so chlorinated as to be pool water. The room was clean, but they need to change their mopping chemicals. There is a slippery residue throughout the room which is really noticeable if your feet are wet. Breakfast was a travesty. Buffet with no alternative. Scrambled eggs, toast, very few pastries, fruit, and cereal. That’s it. Coffee machine wasn’t working (gasp). It was free, though, maybe. The staff wasn’t actually sure. Transfer from the airport is on request and free. Send flight details ahead of time and your driver will arrange pickup via WhatsApp. Transfer back is only on the hour, but you can pay $20 for your own five minute taxi if you want. Reception staff speaks English. But no one else did (including restaurant / bar staff). The hotel doesn’t accept any cash payments. The price is reasonable and offsets the above problems. I would stay here again for a layover. The hotel is not suitable for a city visit.

L'hôtel est un hôtel de chaîne fine situé à 5-10 min de l'aéroport SCL. Le bâtiment est relativement nouveau (construit il y a ~5 ans) et il n'y a rien à voir/fair à pied. L'hôtel fournit un service de navette à/de SCL une fois par heure, même à 2 heures. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient assez grandes mais le wifi n'a pas fonctionné. Il y avait aussi un bruit assez fort de ”eau flottante” (de la chambre adjacente?) toute la nuit. Mon principal plainte est qu'il est impossible de communiquer avec l'hôtel avant de réserver. J'ai essayé par l'adresse électronique que j'ai reçue du siège de Wyndham, facebook, Twitter et via booking.com et ils n'ont jamais répondu. L'une des adresses de messagerie n'existe pas (mon email a été rejeté) ... et ils ne répondent que de l'autre.

La location est excellente. Juste 30 secondes à pied de l'hôtel jusqu'au Terminal 1 (Terminal domestique).

Two stays on trip. One was for 6 hours between flights and one was a three night stay at the end of our trip. First stay. Relied on shuttle with time pre given to Hilton. Upon arriving in the domestic terminal from Calama, no shuttle or shuttle site. Tried to call, tried to ask with no answers. Finally took a cab. On arrival, we were told they stop only at the international terminal. Shuttle back was fine - leaves hotel hourly on the hour. Room was good on first stay except temperature. Set to 18 degrees, it never got below 24. Second stay: we rented a car so shuttle was not an issue. Room comfortable. Dinner at hotel was sufficient. Hilton gold awarded is free breakfast that was buffet including hot foods, pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses. Room was comfortable with good bed, shower, etc. toilet flushed incredibly loudly though. Overall nice stay and nice location but a few improvements could be made.

L'hôtel dispose d'un transporteur gratuit, le petit déjeuner est bon. La chambre est large, propre, le service est intime, amiable, l'environnement est calme, il y a un parking gratuit dans le hall, le salon est une société de location européenne.

4,5/5,00 Le Best Western Station Central est un excellent hôtel. Il dispose de chambres larges et est très confortable. Le petit-déjeuner est servi jusqu'à 10 heures et est bien fatigué, avec des variétés de fruits, céréales, pains, froids, œufs et la langue. Les employés sont bien réceptifs et attentifs. Ils offrent un petit-déjeuner (sache de café, thé, fruits, sandwich, yogurt) pour vous permettre de prendre le jour des excursions, demandez jusqu'à 21h à la réception. La région n'est pas vraiment bonne, mais l'hôtel dispose de sécurités de disposition si vous devez attendre un uber ou un taxi de la face extérieure. Il était très calme de demander des voitures d'application pendant la journée et pendant la nuit. Près de l'hôtel il ya une station de Turbus (station Alameda) et il a un métro de l'autre côté de la rue

Les personnes sont très gentilles et prêtes à aider, car nous ne pouvons pas parler espagnol.

This is a wonderful world-class hotel. The staff is exceedingly helpful. Great breakfast and the rooms are what you would expect from a 4-5 star hotel. We stayed one night when we arrived in Chile and then decided to stay here again the night before our departure. Our bellman, Matias, did an outstanding job of arranging details for a special celebration on our return stay. He arranged a special cheesecake and balloons along with our ground transfer from the airport. The property manager, Marco, did a great job in accommodating our needs for a late checkout and a great room for our comfort.

This is a truly great hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful: Ivan, Juan, and Guillermo; and two of the guys played the guitar. A few times a week Juan would play his guitar and sing, and what a powerful voice he had. I could listen to him all day. The free breakfast provided every morning was excellent, and the a**osphere of the hostel was memorable. However, there was one person at the front desk (Scarlet) that was showing irrational behavior. In the beginning she was friendly and helpful, but then after a week, she turned dark and menacing towards me. She kept complaining that I changed my bed or dorm room, even when it was because of inappropriate behavior from another guest, and there were similar complaints from other guests. This morning she asked me if I ”changed my room again?” I said everything is good. There are no problems. Then she said, ”Okay, I will move you back to the room you were in last night.” That seemed odd. I said, I did not ask you to. You do that without my permission. She responded, ”I thought that is what you wanted.” Again, strange. She didn't stop. After getting the email address of the manager, I went upstairs to write an email. Ten minutes later she came up to where I was sitting and continued to badger me. I said she was disrespecting me, and I asked her to stop. She left and then returned a few minutes later, saying that she talked with the manager and I must leave the hostel immediately. She said I was disrespecting her by feeling disrespected. That I was attacking her or mistreating her, but nothing specific was mentioned -- because it didn't happen. No one that she spoke with ever talked with me. Whatever she said behind my back, that person never even told me what I was being accused of, nor did they ask me any questions. Then she threatened me with the police. I was stunned. I asked to speak with the manager. She promised if I came to the reception desk, the manager would speak with me. When I came down, I was not allowed to speak with him. I continued to finish my email to the address provided, and then the police came. It did not matter what the truth was. They listened to her speak in Spanish and then said to me, it doesn't matter what happened. She asks you to leave so you must leave. I walked out and here I am writing this review. I had been there for a couple weeks and I got to know all the staff and they got to know me. They and a number of other guests who had been there a while could testify to my character. I have not heard back from the email I sent to the manager. It seems that whatever Scarlet said behind my back, was believed without question, even when there were guests present, witnesses. And there were video recordings from different angles. I have heard about this type of thing happening in the United States, but we are in Chile. How could a manager allow a guest to be thrown out by the police without ever asking the accused a single question. Is that the world we live in now?
