Mauvaise nouvelle - plus de 8 étages d'escaliers sur des marches en pierre inégales juste pour arriver à la chambre / piscine. Nous sommes en bonne forme - marathons, etc. et les escaliers humides et rocailleux sans rampes n'étaient tout simplement pas amusants. J'ai rencontré des gens qui n'ont jamais quitté leur chambre parce qu'ils ne pouvaient pas continuer à monter les escaliers dangereux. Il y a de bien meilleurs choix à proximité à des prix similaires - Canaves (pas aussi loin en bas de la colline), Katikies (pas aussi loin en bas de la colline, ascenseur et belles marches en ciment). Je ne sais pas pourquoi plus de commentaires n'ont pas commenté les escaliers car nous avons entendu des plaintes de presque tout le monde, y compris le personnel. Le personnel de la réception était bon mais pas prêt à faire des concessions pour un titane à vie et les recommandations de restaurants étaient faibles. Enfin - VOUS NE POUVEZ PAS VOIR LE COUCHER DE SOLEIL DEPUIS CET HÔTEL. Bonne nouvelle - De superbes vues, des chambres propres et calmes (grottes funky - mais déconseillées aux clients claustrophobes). Très bon petit déjeuner. Belle piscine (mais pas assez de transats)

HORRIBLE... Réaction chimique TOXIQUE, jacuzzi mal entretenu qui a entraîné des blessures corporelles chez 3 enfants. Les droits fondamentaux des clients de l'hôtel couvrent divers domaines cruciaux tels qu'un environnement propre et sécurisé, l'intimité et un traitement équitable. Malheureusement, notre expérience au Mystique en Grèce n'a pas réussi à donner la priorité à notre sécurité et à tenir nos promesses. Il était évident que leur souci de notre bien-être faisait défaut et l'écart entre ce qui était annoncé et ce que nous avons reçu était flagrant. Chaque enfant a souffert de réactions allergiques (voir photo ci-jointe) à cause des produits chimiques utilisés dans le jacuzzi qui se trouvait sur notre balcon. Le directeur a admis que l'odeur était si forte que nous ne pouvions même pas nous tenir à 2,5 mètres du jacuzzi et discuter de la situation. Malheureusement, nous ne savions pas que les enfants avaient utilisé le jacuzzi au départ, car ils sont de grands nageurs et ont sauté directement dedans. Ils n'ont pas pu rester dedans plus de quelques minutes à cause de l'odeur toxique qui les a immédiatement rendus malades. Nous avons fourni la preuve qu'un maillot de bain tout neuf avait été endommagé en raison de la réaction chimique, qui se produit lors d'un contact direct avec le chlore. Cependant, le récit constant selon lequel ils n'utilisent que des produits chimiques autorisés. Une mauvaise utilisation des produits chimiques, une méconnaissance de la façon d'utiliser les produits chimiques et/ou des quantités inappropriées peuvent créer un niveau de toxicité qui n'est pas sûr. Le couvercle en plastique du jacuzzi a créé l'environnement parfait pour la réaction chimique, compte tenu du temps chaud et des produits chimiques inappropriés et/ou des quantités de chaque produit chimique. Nous avons demandé que les produits chimiques soient testés devant nous, ce qui nous a été refusé. AUCUNE RESPONSABILITÉ POUR LES PROBLÈMES DE PEAU OU LES DOMMAGES MATÉRIELS RÉSULTANT DE LEUR NÉGLIGENCE. Nous avons payé plus de 15 000 $ pour notre séjour de 4 nuits et près de 500 000 points Marriott, d'une valeur d'environ 4 000 $ US. Ce fut l'expérience la plus horrible dans n'importe quelle propriété que nous ayons jamais utilisée. Ce qui était censé être un voyage unique et une célébration d'anniversaire s'est transformé en cauchemar. Ils nous ont offert 10 000 points, soit 30 $ US, ce qui était pour le moins très insultant.

I can’t believe there are people complaining about there being steep steps, it’s Santorini… the picturesque, cliff side resorts are in fact on a cliff. Also, the staff takes care of your bags for you, they carry them and they drop them off at your room. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. Everything was incredible. We came here on our anniversary, and it felt like we were on our honeymoon all over again. To start, the location is perfect. It’s right near the entrance to the walkway in Oia. What this means is it’s very accessible to all the restaurants and shops (and the walkway in Oia is mainly flat until you get closer to the sunset area or down to Ammoudi), yet secluded enough where you don’t hear the crazyyyy hustle and bustle of the downtown area. People come to Oia from other parts of the island for day trips, and tons of people are dropped off by the boat load (literally) from cruise ships since there’s a port. Downtown Oia area gets as crowded is most people warn you about. It’s loud. Walkways get congested with how many people are moving around. That’s why Mystique truly feels like an oasis where you get the best of both worlds of being in Oia but not dealing with large crowds. You don’t hear a single thing. It’s very private and relaxing. Our driver also was able to drop us off right at the hotel entrance, which isn’t the case for other hotels off of the walkway since cars aren’t allowed in the downtown area. Second, the staff are truly top notch. They are so very kind, attentive, and they are super quick to respond to whatever you need. Every time we called for something (such as extra water bottles for the room, etc), they were at our door within minutes. We ordered breakfast to the room most days and we’d eat out on our terrace. By the time we went inside and changed and came back out, the plates disappeared. I swear they know where to be at all times, they are so discrete, it was like everything magically cleaned itsself up as soon as it needed to be. They can book you reservations, excursions, whatever you need. They also went above and beyond for us having status with Marriott and with it being our anniversary. Email them in advance and ask for recommendations! We almost did a catamaran cruise from Viator where the port was on the other side of the island. They recommended one that left out of Ammoudi Bay which was so much closer. Lastly, the hotel is amazing. The caldera views are incredible. Sunrise is something special. We stayed in a wet allure suite (room 45) and in my (biased) opinion I feel like we had one of the best views from our hot tub and we had complete privacy. I was a little nervous about staying in a cave, I thought it might be musty, which wasn’t the case at all. When you pay these prices, you want to feel like every penny is worth it and that’s exactly what we felt during our stay. You get the full luxury experience.

The steps make this an insane place to stay. It's is very very challenging to go down uneven steps. Just not worth staying here. We are a fit couple and did not find the steps to and from the room fun. Steps to get to room, more steps to get to pool, even more to get to breakfast. Then all the way back- just no fun!
