Built in 2005, Casa Sierra features a custom designed home with chef's kitchen, great room with 30 ft ceilings and Guanacaste beams. 4br, 3Ba with office (can convert into 4th bedroom). A covered veranda with ceiling fans spaning the entire back of the house facing the vanishing edge pool and views of the Pacific and primary forest. Greet the mornings with howler monkey's playing in the trees and spend evenings looking at the Milky Way while being serenaded by nature. Totally private residence. Casa Sierra is located on Cerro Los Gatos, or "Cat Mountain," and within the exclusive Pacific Heights development in Potrero, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts due to its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding countryside. The hike to the top of the mountain takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is of moderate difficulty. At the summit, visitors are greeted with a castle-like structure that resembles a medieval fortress. The structure is privately owned and is not open to the public. However, the views from the top are still worth the hike, and visitors can take in the panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. The mountain is named after the many wildcats, including jaguars and ocelots, that once roamed the area. Although it is now rare to see wildcats in the area, the mountain and surrounding hills are still home to many species of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and other small mammals. Overall, Cerro Los Gatos is a unique and beautiful natural landmark that offers visitors a chance to experience Costa Rica's stunning natural beauty and biodiversity. We are located about 2/3 way up the mountain off the main road. Our property features a parking deck with space for at least 7 cars, security gate, alarm, and cameras.
