Mansion House

Another lovely stay at Mansion House. After years of trying to find good accommodation in Scarborough, we're so glad that we found this charming place a few years ago. This was our 4th stay and it goes from strength to strength. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the linens and soft furnishings are top notch and the atmosphere is comfy. The ownership obviously takes great pride in their business and it shows. We have stayed at many other places in Scarborough including The Crown Hotel which is consistently named the top hotel in town but believe us, THE MANSION HOUSE IS THE BEST ACCOMMODATION IN SCARBOROUGH.

We booked an overnight stay here as it was our 55th (Emerald) Wedding Anniversary on the 6th June and as we met in Scarborough in 1967 on Scarborough south beach, got engaged in Scarborough and when we married in 1970 we had a trip here we thought it would be lovely to go to celebrate. We saw Mansion House online so booked it as we thought it looked lovely. We were really pleased with our choice. Our room had a sea view and was spotlessly clean, we even got the car parked right outside. The breakfast was delicious and so much choice. All the staff were kind and friendly. We would love to stay again and thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for one night prior to playing in a golf competition at Scarborough. I would thoroughly recommend the Mansion House. We had a very pleasant, clean comfortable room with a sea view. An excellent breakfast was served. The hotel team were excellent. Absolutely no complaints

My husband and I stayed here a week ago. We had been given a 2 night hotel stay through Red Letter Days and chose to use it at The Mansion House Hotel. Mansion House really deserves its 5 star status. On arrival, we were given a very warm reception from one of the owners. Our double room was on the first floor and had an interconnecting door to a single room, which we could use for storage, if required. The room was beautifully decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. The bed was the most comfortable one I have had for a very long time. The hospitality tray was well stocked and replenished daily. The bathroom was well fitted out, had lovely fluffy towels, and nice amenities. In the lobby, there was was a board showing different places to eat in Scarborough, with menus to suit all tastes. There was free parking on the road right outside the hotel. The hotel is situated opposite the Italian Gardens, on the Esplanade. The breakfasts were brilliant. There was so much choice and the food was cooked to perfection. I particularly liked the granola, fruit and yogurt pots. There was also a special of the day choice. Breakfast was at timed slots and a nice touch was a small chalkboard wishing us a 'Good Morning,' on the table. On an evening, we went into the beautiful lounge. Again, the decor was stunning and so comfortable with plenty of armchairs and settees. Views over Scarborough South Bay were a plus, and it was lovely to see it lit up as night fell. There was a well stocked honesty bar. All in all, I could not fault The Mansion House and its staff. I am very pleased we found this hotel and will certainly be recommending it to friends and family. We are looking forward to visiting here again before too long.

Our first stay at the Mansion House Hotel it is absolutely fabulous. A warm welcome on our arrival, pristine hotel and a beautiful bedroom with a fabulous view of Scarborough. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food delicious. Definitely look forward to returning to this lovely hotel.

The Mansion House is just the best, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Great Escape, definitely the best suite we have ever stayed in. Everything you needed was there. Breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for a busy day at the conference we were attending. All the staff were so helpful they put the guests at the centre of everything they do.
