You won't want to miss a single sunset from the large boathouse deck overlooking beautiful Lake Rosseau at Sunset Retreat. The cottage is beautiful and inviting, but the deck is the most popular spot. Had a cancellation and looking for a renter in short order and are offering a discount!! **EVEN MORE NEW UPGRADES FOR 2022/2023** - Beautiful, new custom furniture in main floor living room. Custom made sectional and custom couch that are both gorgeous and spacious while still super inviting and comfy like the previous set. Cottage fully repainted inside and out! It was nice before, even more beautiful now! New pics of the furniture and bedrooms now added. Pics of the freshly painted outside and inside to come! A perfect property for families and adults. 4 + 1 bedroom and 2.5 baths with a beautiful dining and family area on the main floor, plus a second family room in the basement for games, pool, darts, movies, etc. Perfect for the kids! Enjoy a large family dinner at the dining room table that seats 6-8 comfortably and then head out for a fire, or settle into the living room for some cocktails while the kids head downstairs for movies or games. Shallow, sandy entry and deeper water off the dock with an outdoor spot to park you boat. Spend the day soaking up rays on the boathouse deck or swimming in the crystal, clear water of Lake Rosseau. Enjoy a beautiful outdoor fire in the evening after the sun sets. Beautiful cottage on Lake Rosseau, 2.5 hours from the city. - 4 bedrooms + a cabin on the boathouse with 2 sets of bunks (cabin is perfect/kind of cool for older kids – their own little place) - 3 bathrooms (4 piece main, 3 piece master ensuite, 2 piece basement) - Large Master bedroom with king size bed and 3 piece en-suite bathroom and plenty of closet space and drawers - 2 bedrooms on main floor with queen beds and access to full main washroom - 1 Bedroom with queen bed in the bright basement with two piece washroom steps away (this can be the best room in the cottage in the hot summer months as it stays nice and cool - but don't tell your other guests - save this nugget for yourself!) - Main washroom is 4-piece, master ensuite is 3-piece and a two piece in the basement - Living room with a couch, 2 love seats and a chair and a 55 Inch flat screen TV with Bell satellite and Blu Ray - Large balcony overlooking the water with 3 year old Napoleon BBQ - Large second living room in the basement with washroom downstairs, Bell Satellite TV, DVD, couches and large chairs, pool table, dart board, shuffle board, video games, table for games and a walkout (perfect for keeping kids/teens occupied, especially on rainy days or for really hot days and nights as it stays very cool) - Large selection of DVDs and BluRays (movies and series) for all ages and tastes - Selection of books - autobiographies, history, local history, sports, music - Selection of games - Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, Checkers, Cards Against Humanity, Cribbage, Hockey Trivia, - Snooker, Darts, Shuffleboard - Clean bedding provided - Bring your own towels - Kitchen including dishwasher - Full fridge/freezer combo - All kitchenware - Coffee maker - Ice maker - Soda Stream - Blender - 14 piece Henckels knife block set - Large dining room with table that seats 6-8 comfortably - Beautiful view of the lake from the large, open dining and living room - Water cooler for fresh water for drinking - Rogers WiFi - New Napoleon wood burning stove with glass door for cool nights - All major plumbing updates within the past 3 years - water pump, septic pump, bladder tank, hot water heater. Sometimes things happen at a cottage, but having replaced all of these vital components make any issue much less likely. They may not be pretty, but they keep it running - Separate laundry room with washer and dryer - Raised cat walk to the boathouse deck at the water - Huge boat house deck with patio furniture and table and loungers for relaxing, sunning, cocktails, lounging - Beautiful views and absolutely stunning sunsets from the boathouse deck - There is nothing like Muskoka star gazing on a clear night. Head down to the boathouse deck and enjoy. Pour a drink, kick your seat back and just look up. Unreal! And if you are so inclined, there is a telescope in the bunkie that you are welcome to use and show the kids a few things (or let them show you, more likely) - Dock below the boathouse with nice, sandy shallow entry and small beach as well as deep water at the end of the dock for diving/jumping in - 2 Kayaks - Docking for renters' boat (outside - not in boathouse) - Beautiful, custom, steel ring fire pit (for responsible use and dictated by township fire allowance/bans depending on dryness) - Minutes by car or boat (if you have your own boat, there is a place to dock it) to the village of Rosseau which has a well-stocked general store with a butcher's counter, ice cream for the kids and an LCBO for the grown ups, Crossroads restaurant which is fantastic, marina, multiple antique shops, chip truck, public beach and docks, playing field with baseball diamond and basketball court - Close to the JWT Marriot, Rock Golf Course, Seguin Valley Golf Course, Port Carling, Windermere and Windermere Golf and Country Club and many, many more local amenities - Ample parking History: We are not in this to run a hands off business and simply collect income. The cottage is in our blood. We rent it to help offset costs so that we can continue to enjoy it as well and continue to keep it in great shape and make improvements every year. We do not think of people as clients. They are our guests. We want to provide an experience that provides fair value. We want our guests to feel like this is their home when they are here. We want them to want to come back. I lost my folks in my early/mid 30s and have been managing the cottage since then, a little over a decade now. I take a tremendous amount of pride in it and since meeting Amy 5 years ago, she has been right beside me. My parents were given nothing and this was their/our jewel. I had and still have family in the Muskoka's and we actually helped settle the land in the 1800s. In the 1960s, my dad worked with my uncle from the village who did some real estate after the war and he bought this piece of land, He let it sit until the 80s when he and my mom had the foundation poured and then he built it from the ground up with his buddies, He was in sales, but thankfully he was handy and all his friends were skilled tradesmen. It is the central focal point in almost all of our memories together, with friends, with extended family. I have taken great pride in not only enjoying it as they wished, but replicating their hard work and perseverance. We try to not only maintain it, but add to it every year like they did, Accepting guests helps us do that. Next year is painting inside and out, new appliances and new rails on the boathouse. Basically, we want to share with guests that will enjoy it the way we do. We will greet you and walk you through - either myself or our concierge and property manager and we will be available (within reason of course :-) ) should you need assistance during your stay.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 50 lbs per pet (limit one pet total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:30 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 30.About events:No events allowed.

Relaxing holiday at Sunset Retreat We had a wonderful time staying at Sunset Retreat earlier this month. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The amenities provided were great and really made the experience for our teenagers. Mark (the host) was very friendly and responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better week away with friends. Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful property with us - we had a wonderful time!

Rosseau Oasis Our family of 5 enjoyed 2 weeks at this great location with ample space for family to come and visit. Location to the town of Rosseau by water or road is within minutes. There are plenty of beds, a superb games room with entertainment for every age level and an amazing sandy beach and boathouse with a deck to lounge on for hours! Lots of space to tie up your rental boat or seadoos too. Mark was easy to work with, and responsive throughout the entire process. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation.
