Avis : Avantgarde Hotel

We stayed a night and it’s very near sutera mall. Close to a few convenience stores and the night life is excellent too with live band and etc. it’s very quiet for a night stay . Will come again

Service is great, shower is strong with cold and hot water heater, aircon is superb. Locations wise is excellent, very near to Sutera mall and many shops and eatery shop around. Only thing is night time can hear the loud music from the nearby pub which open until 2am .Receptionist at the lobby are good in service. Overall if u are looking to stay 1 night, this is the hotel u might want to book. We have stayed 4days 3 night which I think is to many. It great explode the surrounding shops and the restaurants surrounding the hotel are nice and reasonable price.

It's quite happening at night and the hotel is near to bar. Hence, could be quite disturbing but overall it is ok.

Slipper & Comb are not provided. Towels are wrapped in plastic bags to indicate washed & cleansed. Would be great if shower and toilet areas are separated by a simple shower screen, so water does not hit the toilet and basin area. I have to take out the toilet paper roll so it stays dry. Noise isolation is good for our room on 2/F, probably due to its location at the back of the hotel. Overall fine and will return if I revisit Skudai.

It is waking distance to sutera mall and all the eateries. It is very good for Pekin restaurant wedding dinner and overnight stay. However the toilet amenities are basic . It is good for a night or 2 stay.

Avantgarde Hotel is surrounded by many foods/drinks shops/restaurants. There's a shop selling durian next to the hotel 😆 The hotel located 5 mins walk from Sutera Mall entrance door. It's happening in the mall now where many stalls selling cny foods, biscuits & decors. Beware when walking there as the pedestrians side road is blocked for construction. The hotel is a 3 storeys building with 1 lift. I appreciate the hotel staff for letting us to check in early. Unfortunately, we were given middle room where there's no window. So, the room can feel a bit suffocating with smell until the aircond fully cooled the room. The room is very spacious with 2 queen beds & a 2 seater sofa with a small round wooden table. The toilet is super spacious too but there's no wet/dry separation. The shower water will flow till the basin sink area. There's also no toilet/room slippers provided. Overall, it's a decent 1 night stay. ps : We have no problem to order Grab at 5.30am to reach the airport. It's also easy to order Grab during the day to travel around.

Room is big, good for friends to sleep together even the price is low. Will repeat again

Dirty and with smell. Lobby cigarette smell. Location good for food only.

We always choose this hotel due to it superb location. Accessible to shopping and eateries.

Accommodation is decently clean and lots of food options and entertainment options nearby!

I recently stayed at Avangarde Hotel in Johor Bahru, and overall, the experience was quite average. Nothing particularly impressive, but nothing seriously disappointing either. It’s simply a functional place to stay for a short trip. 👍 What was okay Good location – easy to get around and close to restaurants and conveniences. Smooth check-in – staff were polite and the process was straightforward. Room quality was acceptable – size was reasonable and cleanliness was fine. 👎 What could be improved Overall design and atmosphere are quite basic, without anything memorable. Bed, pillows, and amenities were standard — not uncomfortable, but not exceptional. Some minor noise, though still within an acceptable level. ⭐ Overall If you need a simple place to stay for 1–2 nights and aren’t expecting anything special, this hotel is perfectly adequate. But if you’re looking for comfort, premium ambiance, or standout features, it may not fully meet those expectations.

There is a late checkout fee of RM10 which was only informed to us the next day despite requesting it the night before. Otherwise, all are good. Convenient location, clean hotel.

Worth for money but very hard to get muslim food/restaurant surrounding.
